Simone Carpanini

I've lived in the Piacenza hills for a long time, in a border region rich in quality food and wine, but I was born in Parma in 1977 and proudly claim my origins. I became "Carpapapà" with the birth of my daughter Cecilia, who is already growing up on milk, bread, and sports stories. I love geography, communications, '80s films, and anolini in brodo (a type of pasta) even in July. I fell in love with cycling at first sight in middle school, thanks to a teacher and the Giro d'Italia, which came to my hometown. After high school, I worked in tourism for over twenty years and, in parallel, for a dozen as a cycling speaker and volleyball commentator. In February 2021, I had the great honor of receiving a call from bici.PRO, made up of some of those "writers" whose articles I read in their monthly magazine as a boy. Here, I was fortunate to find a strong and close-knit group. Now together and thanks to them there are a few goals to reach.
