In an article from last July we had anticipated the industrial plan implemented by Bianchi for the next few years, with an investment of 40 million euros. In recent days, the Treviglio-based company has taken another step towards building its industrial future.. In fact, he presented the press regeneration plan urbanwhich will lead to the creation of the new production plant.

The presentation took place at the company's Treviglio headquarters, which has been home to the company for over half a century. Fabrizio Scalzotto, Bianchi's CEO, hosted the event, along with Treviglio's Mayor, Juri Fabio Imeri.

A targeted choice

The new headquarters will be built on the same site that currently houses Bianchi's headquarters in Treviglio. It will cover a total area of 30.000 square meters, of which over 17.000 square meters will be dedicated to production. This decision is based on the launch of an industrial process aimed at bringing back to Italy technical and production skills that in recent decades had found their home outside Europe.

As he underlined during the press conference Bianchi's CEO Fabrizio Scalzotto himself, this is an intervention that marks a new phase for the company, increasingly determined to gain greater control over its production process. A choice aimed at responding to the constant growth in demand on the bicycle and e-bike market which has exploded in the last two yearsA courageous and far-sighted decision despite the difficulties in sourcing raw materials caused by the current global situation.

The goal is reach 1.000 units produced per shift upon completion of the work, with carbon frame production scheduled to begin in 2023. The new headquarters and increased production capacity will also have significant and positive impacts on the local community, starting with employment. At full capacity, the new facility will employ over 250 people, including office staff, technical staff, and production staff.

Always in Treviglio

The decision to expand its historic headquarters confirms Bianchi's deep ties to the Municipality of Treviglio and, at the same time, its desire to redevelop an industrial area and hand it over to the local community as a usable asset. The new factory will in fact host for the first time a Bianchi Museum, destined to attract great interest from tourists, enthusiasts of the sector and followers of the Bianchi brandAn important opportunity for Treviglio and its surrounding area, as underlined by Mayor Juri Fabio Imeri himself. With the new investment, the current production area will be completely regenerated, without land consumption and with a substantially zero environmental impact.
