2022 is quickly coming to an end. In a few days, or rather in a few hours, we will all be projected into 2023This is the perfect time to take stock of the year that is about to end and begin looking ahead to the new year, which is now upon us.
These are also days for companies to take stock and plan new programs. To learn how 2022 went for All4cycling and what new developments we can expect for the new year, We met Matteo Ruzza, communications and marketing manager for the Varese e-commerce site.Our meeting took place in Gazzada Schianno in the province of Varese, at the All4cycling physical store, the true heart of the company and an integral part of the online store.
The topic of our meeting was the initiatives and collaborations that All4cycling has implemented in 2022, all projected towards 2023.
Let's start with the gravel and mountain bike events you organized this year. What's our assessment?
I'd say it's absolutely positive. Overall, we've managed to stick to the social ride program we'd outlined at the beginning of the year. All the events went well and achieved the goal we had set ourselves.Strengthen the community connected to our e-commerce site, but especially to our ever-growing physical store. Each social ride was also an opportunity to explore the area surrounding our Gazzada Schianno store on a bicycle.
Will there be any new things for next year?
We have not yet finalized the 2023 event calendar. We will start working on it in JanuaryIn general, the format won't change much, although some aspects will be refined in light of this year's experience. These will always be closed-entry events to ensure maximum assistance to participants.They will always take place on Saturday mornings, although we'd like to create some all-day events. We'll also continue to collaborate with our technical partners, who have truly appreciated the format. We're currently working on some ways to ensure each event increasingly engages the community around our store. We want to reward our customers in some way.
Speaking of customers, this year you gave them the chance to meet two champions, Vingegaard and Aru. What was the experience like?
For us of All4cycling, but above all for our customers, they were two truly exciting moments. On the eve of Il Lombardia, thanks to the collaboration of Fizik, twenty of our customers were able to meet Jonas VingegaardAt the end of October, we helped organize the Assos Speed Club Ride, which saw Fabio Aru lead a large group of our customers on a fun ride along the roads of the Varese province. We'd love to repeat initiatives like this in 2023.
Staying in Varese, you have strong ties to your local area and especially to the SC Alfredo Binda, which organizes a series of events centered around the Tre Valli Varesine.
It's true, we work very well with SC Alfredo Binda and we intend to continue doing so. We haven't met yet to work out the details, But I don't think there will be any problems in continuing our collaboration. This will mainly concern the following three events: the Gran Fondo Tre Valli Varesine, the Gravel Experience and the Tre Valli Varesine Women's cycling's Race, the women's version of the race reserved for men.
We close our meeting with some good news. All4cycling has ranked first in the Corriere della Sera's recent ranking of the best e-commerce sites for the cycling sector, titled "The Stars of E-commerce 2023." The ranking is the result of an analysis based on 48 objective and subjective criteria to which 500 online stores were subjected., divided by product category, selected from over 7.000. Among the parameters taken into consideration were: structure and ease of use, security, payment, purchase and delivery, service and customer support offered. As we were saying, as far as the cycling sector is concerned, All4cycling ranked firstA beautiful way to close out the year and launch into 2023 with renewed enthusiasm.
