Alessandro ballan is officially a new ambassador, tester and technical collaborator of Abus, a leading German brand for the production of protection and safety systems cycling helmets.
An expanded collaboration, defined between Ballan and Abus, is "strong" with a multi-year agreement that will see the former 2008 Varese world champion – the last Italian to wear the rainbow jersey – take on a role that will go far beyond that of a simple spokesperson. It is no coincidence that Abus, and specifically the Italian direct representation based in Imola, intends Ballan's presence alongside the brand will also be strategic with regards to a crucial phase of the production process, that is, the development and future improvement of new models.

Alessandro Ballan, who is already riding with the AirBreaker model, will also be present at many outdoor events in which Abus is expected to participate.: among these, certainly the Italian Bike Festival in Misano Adriatico and L'Eroica in Gaiole in Chianti, the latter event involving Abus in a major partner role.
