The Italian bike brand Basso is confirmed again this year as “title sponsor” of the next edition (number 36) of the Gran Fondo Basso Ten Hills: one of the appointments – It is branded ACSI – the most classics of the Italian amateur movement. The event is scheduled for Bologna for Sunday 17 October.
A top event for promoting amateurs. We therefore took advantage of this interesting opportunity to chat with Joshua Riddle, who is Basso's marketing manager.

Joshua, why did you decide to consolidate this partnership with Dieci Colli?
In our opinion, both Basso and the Gran Fondo Dieci Colli represent two Italian excellences. Therefore, strengthening their partnership seemed the best way forward. to increasingly focus our presence and promotion in the cycling sector.
What are the points of contact that bring these two realities together?
Today, after more than forty years of history, Basso still represents a bicycle brand that has truly embraced Italian style. Basso designs, builds, paints, and assembles exclusively—and proudly, I might add—in Italy. The Gran Fondo Dieci Colli is the second-longest-running and most traditional event in Italy. We can therefore confidently say that both Basso and the Dieci Colli represent true Italian authenticity! This is why we at the company have decided to continue our sponsorship efforts, providing all the necessary support to ensure this event can grow further in the coming years, both within and beyond Italy, where we have traditionally had a strong presence.
What is Basso's hope for the next 2021 edition scheduled for mid-October?
It's been a difficult year for everyone. And considering that the collaboration was supposed to begin in 2020... 2021 presents us with the hope of being able to turn the page and focus on the good things in life and enjoying our passions. We are really looking forward to cycling together with all our customers, But obviously not just to them, along the fantastic streets that wind around Bologna. Finding ourselves all together again with a big smile on our faces.

Prestigious headquarters
It is important to point out that the Bologna event has confirmed the wonderful location of Villa Pallavicini in Borgo Panigale as its headquarters, An 18th-century residence already "discovered" by participants during the previous edition, it's very easy to reach and offers ample space for both parking and reception and post-race services: in short, fully available to all riders. The single 91-kilometer route and the start time, moved to 9:00 a.m. to accommodate participants, who will be able to enjoy the start more comfortably, have already been announced.
The Basso Dieci Colli is among the partner events of Winning Trial, the innovative app that can be downloaded for free and offers a wide range of benefits, not only in terms of interest and sporting spectacle, but also in terms of organization, logistics, and safety. The circuits it belongs to are: Nalini Road Series, il Romagna Challenge and Zero Wind Show.
