TREVIGLIO – "Bianchi's future starts today." With these few but heartfelt words, Salvatore Grimaldi, President and owner of Bianchi, welcomed his guests to the new production facility inside the historic headquarters on Tuesday, June 4th. Whites of Treviglio, which has hosted the company for over 50 years. This is a regeneration project urbanconducted in synergy with the Municipality of Treviglio. It was mid-December 2022 when Bianchi presented the project for the new production plant to the press. The road map envisaged the completion of the works in 24 months, a deadline that was perfectly respected.
Here is the new CEO
The inauguration of the new production plant was also the occasion to officially introduce Bianchi's new CEO. This is Marco Gentili, who in the past had the opportunity to collaborate with Salvatore Grimaldi himself and who has been fully involved in the company's decision-making processes since December 20th of last year. Born in Rome on July 3rd, 1963, he boasts extensive managerial experience both nationally and internationally in the industrial world.
These are his first statements: «I am proud to join the Bianchi family at this very significant stage, the one in which a Bianchi 5.0 is born. It will be a privilege to lead this company into the future.The new factory is not only a symbol of inspiration and innovation, but will also allow us to compete at the highest market levels thanks to process efficiency. We have ambitious goals and this new plant will help us achieve them.».
Industry 5.0
The new factory positions Bianchi among the very first companies in Italy aligned with Industry 5.0 standards, thanks to the use of sustainable, innovative, and cutting-edge solutions that put people at the center. The new production line allows for an installed capacity of 500 bicycles per shift and was built according to innovative operating logic and productivity processes, developed by Bianchi itself. Each position of the production line has been completely digitalized, eliminating all material handling phases in favor of greater efficiency.
Green soul
The new production site is characterized by a green soul, thanks to a 500 kW photovoltaic system that guarantees energy autonomy during the summer months. The internal temperature is constantly around 23 degrees Celsius and all system management functions are automatically controlled. The project focused on employee well-being, with an ergonomic redesign of the workstations and a study of the work phases. with the help of advanced technologies and the creation of an internal Academy for the continuous training of staff.
Inside the renovated headquarters there is also space for the new Bianchi showroom with the presence of models most representative historical models, as well as all the latest innovations recently launched on the market by the Treviglio-based company.
In conclusion, we would like to point out that the Domus architectural studio has designed the new headquartersThe work was carried out by the builder Baraclit and by Antonelli Impianti for the mechanical and electrical systems.
