Last December we told you about “Future is Green", a project promoted by the Venetian company Ciclo Promo Components in collaboration with the Municipality of AsiagoThe ultimate goal was to plant 800 trees within a forest area in the same municipality destroyed by Cyclone Vaia in 2018. This catastrophic event led to the destruction of approximately 14 million trees between Trentino and Veneto. To make the situation even more serious, a bark beetle infestation occurred in the summer of 2020., which led to the drying out of some of the trees that survived the storm.

A little less than a year after its presentation, the project strongly supported by Ciclo Promo Components is finally taking shape today. The experimental reforestation project officially began on October 17th. They were present of course Loris and Roberto Campagnolo, founding partners of Ciclo Promo ComponentsThey were accompanied by Diego Rigoni, Councilor for Heritage of the Municipality of Asiago, Christian Rebeschini, Forester of the same Municipality, Marco Pellegrini (Forestry Doctor who drafted the Project) and the technicians appointed by the Municipality of Asiago. Together they officially began the work.
The project foresees that Approximately 800 saplings of different forest species will be planted over an area of 6 thousand square meters in an area owned by the Municipality of Asiago (near the Forte Interrotto).
Well-defined objectives
The "Future is Green" project aims to achieve three objectives. First, accelerate the process of reconstituting the forest cover damaged by Cyclone Vaia. Second, increase the biodiversity, structural complexity, and specific composition of the forest area. increasing the resilience of future forest stands, taking into account climate changeThird: create a network of areas, in conjunction with three other similar projects in the area, in which to implement proper restoration of the areas and organize educational and outreach activities.

With the “Future is Green” project Ciclo Promo Components reaffirms once again its attention towards the theme of environmental sustainability,The company from Castione di Loria, in the province of Vicenza, has decided for some time to adopt a corporate policy based on the use of renewable energy, on compliance with regulations on the release and disposal of chemical substances, on the digitalization of production processes and on the choice of recyclable packaging.
