A family business
Accompanied by bicycles MCipollini and from Dmt shoes, Lehmann will run towards his Olympic dream on July 30th, when he makes his Olympic debut. «I was practically born with triathlon in me – said Csongor Lehmann – considering that my father Tibor was an international level Ironman athlete. I grew up watching his races, breathing the atmosphere around this sport and challenging my brother Bence, also a triathlete. At the age of seven, I was already participating in my first races, and then, as the years went by, things got more serious. The turning point came in 2017, when I won the bronze medal at the European Championships in Kitzbühel: there I understood that this could really be my future."
Appointment in Paris
Csongor's main goal will be to manage his emotions as best he can, no easy task considering the intensity of the competition. In the weeks leading up to the Olympics, Lehmann will train in Livigno, at high altitude, before returning to his hometown of Tiszaújváros, Hungary., for the final international preparatory race, scheduled for July 6 and 7. Here, cheered on by his fans in an event he already won last year, he will finalize the final details before flying to Paris. As always, he will be supported by his father Tibor, who is also his coach..
For the 40 kilometers of cycling that will be tackled at full speed, Lehmann will be able to count on the support of MCipollini and DMT.
