LILLE (France) – The 2025 season of Team Decathlon AG2R La Mondiale officially began with a special presentation at the Decathlon Arena in Lille. The event celebrated an extraordinary 2024 vintage, with 30 victories and 70 podiums, and outlined ambitious future goals, consolidating a strategic partnership between Decathlon and the French team until 2028.
Céline Del Genes, Decathlon's Global Chief Customer Officer, emphasized her enthusiasm for the project: "We are an integral part of the team," she told bici.PRO, "not just a sponsor. For this reason, we have decided to extend our collaboration and become the team's sole suppliers, taking care of every single detail: from technical clothing for and off the racetrack, to accessories." The new RCR-F “aircraft”
During the event, the new RCR-F was presented: an aerodynamic bicycle designed by VAN RYSEL, developed in collaboration with SwissSide and with the direct contribution of the team's athletes. This model, already noticed in prototype version during the Tour de France with Sam Bennett, will be officially launched at next year's Paris-Roubaix. The RCR-F promises extraordinary performance, with an aerodynamic saving of over 13 watts compared to the previous model, the RCR-R, thanks to an innovative design focused on speed and efficiency.
In addition to the new bike, VAN RYSEL He also redesigned the team's kits. The new kits, developed in the wind tunnel and tested with rigorous aerodynamic studies, now combine high performance and a distinctive visual identity. The kits feature advanced materials and an optimized construction, offering riders energy savings of approximately 20 watts. The two-tone sleeves remain a distinctive element, while the “galaxy” motif evolves, symbolizing the flow of air and the intensity of the competition.
And the design extends to accessories, such as helmets and glasses, now featuring VAN RYSEL’s signature green, improving the visibility of cyclists in the peloton. The bikes also maintain an iconic aesthetic, with blue forks at the front and green details at the rear., to easily identify athletes during the always hectic sprints to the finish line.
