An Italian story
To celebrate this extraordinary legacy, Enervit has created a photographic book entitled “The Enervit Story” that traces the company's long-standing commitment to positive nutrition and sports nutrition supplements. The book, enriched by numerous images, offers a snapshot of a society in constant movement, contextualizing the historical period and offering a glimpse into the future. It is a monograph that excites and transports us through stories, faces, names and achievements of those who have made and continue to make the history of sport: from Sara Simeoni to Alberto Tomba, from Reinhold Messner to Tadej Pogacar, from Francesco Moser to Jannik Sinner, and many other champions.
In the 1950s, a couple of innovative pharmacists, Franca Garavaglia and Paolo Sorbini, ran a pharmacy in Milan, on the corner of Via Settembrini and Via Vitruvio. It is in this context that the story of Enervit was born, initially called Also, in 1954The passion for sport manifested itself in the 1970s, when the company developed the first supplement based on fructose, vitamins and mineral salts, destined to make history: Enervit. This product introduces the revolutionary concept of “drinking right” during sports activities, debunking the myth that hydration during exercise stops the athlete from performing.
The 1980s saw Enervit as the protagonist of a major innovation: protein supplementation as a fundamental support for training and performance at the highest level. Sara Simeoni, gold medalist at the 1980 Moscow Olympics, thanks to Enervit Protein and targeted nutritional advice, won an extraordinary silver medal at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics. In the same year, Enervit realizes another dream: organizing Francesco Moser's Hour Record in Mexico City.Thanks to important innovations in cycling, Moser surpasses Eddy Merckx's record, making history with his 51.151 km.
With the turn of the millennium, Enervit broadened its horizons thanks to the meeting with Barry Sears, biochemist and creator of the Zone diet. Thus was born EnerZona, a product line based on the principles of the Zone, which opens up a new vision of nutrition.
