In the current history of Gios, one of the brands that has written some of the most beautiful pages of Italian cycling and beyond, There are two events to mark in your diary during the year: the "Gios Gathering"And The EroicaIn the first case we are talking about an event reserved for Gios bicycle owners only who meet in May at the company headquarters in Volpiano, just outside Turin, and pedal together to celebrate their being part of the great "Gios family". In the case of L'Eroica, however, we are faced with an event that, better than any other in the world, knows how to celebrate the love for bicycleFor a weekend, Gaiole in Chianti becomes a place of culture and history centered on one protagonist: the vintage bicycle.

Always present
Gios didn't want to miss L'Eroica this year either. With the 2022 edition, he's made eleven consecutive appearances. Marco Gios, who runs the family business with his father, Aldo, shared firsthand the many emotions he experienced in Gaiole in Chianti during the latest episode of "Il Blu di famiglia," the monthly Facebook event now in its thirty-fifth installment.
"For my father and I," he says, "it was a memorable weekend. L'Eroica has always been the highlight of the year, along with our May rally. In Gaiole we have the opportunity to meet our customers and more generally the fans of the brandThey often tell us anecdotes about our company's history that we weren't aware of, and it's truly wonderful. Each of them, with their stories, helps us discover something new about ourselves and our past.
«I confess that It's been three days of hard work and tension, but on Sunday evening, once the event is over, we feel really satisfied and happy. for having met so many people who are part of the great “Gios family”».

The news Via Bogino 1947
This year's edition of L'Eroica was the perfect opportunity for Gios to present a new product that harks back to the Turin brand's origins. We're talking about the "Via Bogino 1947" model, born from the stories of Eugenio Cussotto, a 91-year-old "boy." which made Marco and Aldo Gios discover that their company already existed in 1947.
To celebrate this extraordinary discovery, a limited-edition model (only 20 pieces) was created, which was a huge success in Gaiole in Chianti. Numerous enthusiasts stopped at Gios' gazebo to admire the new "Via Bogino 1947", struck by the “clean” beauty of the frame made with Columbus Spirit tubes and the spectacular joints Richard Sachs. What most attracted the attention of enthusiasts was certainly the color of the bicycle, different from the traditional Gios blue. The “Via Bogino 1947” exhibited in Gaiole was in fact “Olmo blue”. The reason is well explained. In his stories, Eugenio Cussotto recalled that his first Gios, purchased in July 1947 in via Bogino in Turin, was “celeste Olmo” in colour.
We conclude with a thought from Marco Gios regarding the new bike and its unique livery: «It's a bike that breaks away from our traditional canons when it comes to color. At first it scared me a little, but after the success I had in Gaiole I'm really enthusiastic.. Ultimately, it's nothing new for us. When we decide to change color, we do it for something truly unique, and I think the story behind "Via Bogino 1947" fully deserves it."
