We are now on the eve of the second edition of the UCI Gravel World Championship. The gravel world championship is in fact scheduled for next weekend on the beautiful Prosecco hills. Among the potential protagonists of the World Championships are Sebastian Schönberger and Jonas Orset, both competing on bicycles. Felt. More and more gravel
Felt strongly believes in the growth potential of gravel, so much so that they are planning to have a significant presence in Pieve di Soligo, the venue for the World Championships. The arrival village will be decorated in Felt's colors. Thanks to a large exhibition area, you'll also be able to see and touch Felt's latest innovations up close. A wide range of cutting-edge products for gravel, road, and triathlon will be on display. Among the models on display there is also the Breed Carbon, the Felt model made specifically for gravel and that Schönberger and Orset will ride in the World Championship race on Sunday.
Sebastian Schönberger competes for the Human Powered Health team. He made his gravel debut this year at the Italian stage of the UCI Gravel World Series, The Monsterrato, achieving an excellent third place. At last year's Gravel World Championships, Schönberger had come close to the top 10, confirming his excellent aptitude for gravel. The Austrian athlete recently took part in the Tour de Slovaquie and the recent European Championships with his own national team.
Jonas Orset, on the other hand, is of Norwegian nationality and is strongly devoted to gravel. During this season he took part in the main competitions of the gravel calendar, including two UCI World Series events in Germany and Sweden, two stages of the Belgian Waffle Ride circuit in Arizona and California, and the Garmin UNBOUND, a 300km American ultra-race. His most prestigious result was his victory at the Sea Otter Classic – La Gravilla.
Sunday's World Championship will be missing a potential protagonist who would certainly have given maximum visibility to the Felt brand. It is Niki Terpstra who had to give up the world championship due to a fall that occurred last week during the reconnaissance of the route of the first edition of the European Gravel Championship.
The Felt brand will still be well represented by all the members of the Austrian national team thanks to the technical sponsorship agreement reached last spring between Pierer Mobility and the Austrian cycling federation.
