TRAVAGLIATO – “I can finally catch my breath for a moment!” With these words a smiling Sara Pitozzi welcomes us into her office, who with his brother Simone leads the Piton company.

A little over a month has passed since what was a truly exciting, yet tiring, week, which saw the Brescia-based company celebrate its 50th anniversary. The official presentation of the RF Viper, the new top of the range from PitonA week later, on Sunday, February 16th, here is the photo of all the racing teams competing this year on a Piton. These are Gallina Ecotek Lucchini Colosio, Triathlon Fiamme Oro La Spezia, Team Feniks, Energy Team, US Biassono, V Cycling Team Piton. It starts with the beginners and goes up to the under-23s (in the opening photo, Rodella is all together in front of the Piton headquarters). Six teams for a total of ninety athletes. A truly significant effort for the Brescia-based company.

To learn more about this truly special week, we decided to ask Sara Pitozzi herself a few questions.

It's been a truly exciting week for Snape, but we imagine it's also been a tiring one...

I have to say yes, even if the real effort was in the previous weeks. Following competitive teams is really challengingThere are many deadlines to meet. Teams have their own race calendars and must have bikes available for training well before the season begins. With amateurs it's different and I confess even more pleasant. I enjoy following them and helping them choose the bike designed and conceived for them. They trust our advice, and it's incredibly satisfying to see them happy when they receive "their" bike.

Let's take a step back. On February 8th, you presented the RF Viper, the new top-of-the-line model created to celebrate your company's 50th anniversary. What kind of feedback have you had?

I'd say excellent. Even before we presented it, we already had bikes reserved by customers who had only shown the 3D design. After the official presentation, orders increased considerably and any fear we might have that it might not be liked immediately vanished. A sign that our choices were correct and that The RF Viper project has met with positive feedback from our customers.. For us it is truly a great satisfaction.

Then came Sunday, the big photo op with all the teams. What kind of day was it?

To say it was exciting would be an understatement, but I'd like to share one story.

Please…

Thanks to our collaboration with the municipality of Travagliato, we had closed the road in front of our headquarters to traffic. Not a single car passed by and there was a truly unusual silence. The teams were lined up in the agreed-upon positions for the group photo. We had also set up small stages for the kids from the teams positioned in the back row to climb onto. In short, everything was ready. Before taking the official photo, Silvano Rodella, who coordinated the video and photo shoot with his team, He called me over to ask if everything was okay and if he could take the picture. At that moment I turned around and saw all the kids lined up in front of our headquarters, I confess that I was moved. It was absolutely the most emotional moment of the whole week.

The 50th anniversary celebrations also brought a further step forward in terms of communications…

The Dexa communications agency in Brescia has been supporting us for years. For our 50th anniversary they refreshed our website and created the RF Viper presentation brochure, which tells our story. The agency also manages our social media and our new newsletter. It won't be "suffocating.", but it will only be sent when we have something nice and interesting to tell.

We say goodbye to Sara Pitozzi at the end of our pleasant chat with the conviction that, between now and the end of the year, Piton's 2025 still holds many exciting new things to share.
