The company has in fact chosen Francisco Comuñas as its new International Sales & Marketing Manager. for the markets of Spain, Portugal, France, Italy, Slovenia and Croatia. A decision that confirms the brand's desire to further consolidate its presence in Southern Europe. and to develop a more integrated and coherent commercial strategy.
With over thirty years of experience in the cycling industry, Comuñas is a highly respected figure in the industry. His career has spanned senior roles in various European countries, with a deep understanding of retail dynamics, market evolution, and consumer needs. The new role will see him coordinating the activities of the commercial and marketing teams of the six areas covered by Merida Bikes SWE, with the aim of promoting greater synergy between markets and strengthening the brand's positioning.


A growth path
The appointment comes at a key time for Merida, committed to an international growth path that focuses on innovation, product quality and strengthening relationships with retailers. Comuñas comes from Team Bike, one of the main distributors in the Iberian Peninsula, where he held the role of Marketing ManagerHere, he contributed to the development of strategic projects, the expansion of the brand portfolio, and the implementation of campaigns aimed at the end consumer. This cross-functional expertise makes him ideal for the evolution of the Merida SWE structure.

Merida's history confirms the brand's solidity. The company was founded in 1972 in Yuanlin, Taiwan, by Ike Tseng.
