It was a day of celebration that we experienced in Gaerne just a few hours ago to celebrate 90 years of founder Ernesto Gazzola and "crossing the finish line" of the first 60 years of activity on the market of the same Venetian brand.
Gaerne, a name that derives from the initials of Ernesto Gazzola, represents one of the leading Italian companies in the production of cycling shoes and motorcycle bootsAll this through entirely Made in Italy production that has remained faithful over the years to its origins and the Treviso region in which the company is literally "immersed".

A story from another time
Gaerne is a story from another era, having taken its first steps in the post-war period. Ernesto Gazzola grew up in a large family of eight children, where there was never enough money. He began learning a trade to help support his family, working at the local cobbler: the story of Gaerne begins right here… Then his first job in a factory, while in the evenings, at home, he began assembling his first models to sell at the Montebelluna Market. Always supported by his wife Vittoria, a hemmer and the woman of his life, with whom he is celebrating 65 years of marriage.
The first Ernesto Gazzola shoes were created in 1962, and two years later, in 1964, the first employee was hired. Since then, a great deal of progress has been made commercially. A growth path that has made Gaerne a solid and globally recognized companyWithout, however, losing its founding values and close ties to the local area. Ernesto's choices, supported by his children Gianna, Gianni, and Marta, to whom he passed down his values, have subsequently allowed the company to continue growing.

GE.60, only sixty pieces
Two athletes also contributed to celebrating the ninetieth birthday of "patron" Ernesto Gazzola: Andrea Verona e Filippo ZanaGaerne paid homage to these champions with two limited edition products designed specifically to celebrate this very important anniversary. Zana received the number 1 of the new GE.60, a collector's model produced in just 60 numbered copies. While Andrea Verona received the first piece of the new GE.60 MX Jersey.
Returning to the new GE.60 delivered to Zana, the latter was created with graphics that take inspiration from the world of art, more specifically from the artistic movement of Action Painting, which involves the free application of colors with quick and spontaneous gestures. The upper of the GE.60 has thus been transformed into a canvas to accommodate an original tricolour that evokes the Italian soul of GaerneEach of the sixty pairs made with this technique is unique and unrepeatable, differing in every aesthetic detail… At the end of the manufacturing process, the shoe is further embellished with Ernesto Gazzola's signature. to certify a super exclusive product that we imagine will be the object of desire of collectors and enthusiasts.
