JERAGO CON ORAGO – It was October 28, 2022, exactly one year ago, when Gusto opened his page Facebook in Italian, thus marking its official entry into our country. A few days ago we had the opportunity to Meet Cosma Pironti, Account Manager for Italy at Gusto, to have them tell us something more about a brand that is rapidly becoming known here in Italy too and that It is currently present in Europe only in our country and in Slovenia, where the warehouse and the European headquarters led by Luke Zele (opening with Pironti) are located.

Our conversation can only begin with the name, which seems to betray an Italian origin…

Everyone thinks that Gusto is an Italian brand, but that's not the case at all. Gusto was founded in Taiwan in 2011 and is the acronym for Game, Urban, Style, Technology, Original. The combination of these five words best sums up the essence of the brand: making quality bicycles available at an affordable price.

What kind of bikes are we talking about and, above all, at what prices?

Each Gusto model is made using the same carbon used by the main manufacturers on the market today. The components are top-notchWhat makes the difference is the final price. Our top-of-the-line model, the Duro Evo DB Pro Legend, is offered to the public at a price of €5.140. It features the Shimano Ultegra Di2 groupset, Campagnolo Shamal Carbon Disc wheels, and a Prologo saddle. The low price is also due to the fact that we make our own frames, including wheels and handlebars, signed by Attaque, a brand that is part of the Gusto family.

In how many stores in Italy can you currently find your bicycles?

We are now close to reach 50 points of sale distributed throughout the countryI think this is a remarkable result considering we've only been in Italy for a year.

What is the reason for this success?

Certainly the excellent quality/price ratio of each of our bicycles. The "spontaneous" way also played an important role. We chose to address the public through our Facebook page. From the very beginning, we wanted to use natural and spontaneous language. We respond extremely quickly to all questions we receive from those who are interested in our bikes and may rightly be somewhat wary of an unknown brand. We then provide maximum visibility and support to all our resellers.

At the Italian Bike Festival, you had your first contact with the public. How did it go?

I would say beyond our wildest expectations, even though we knew we had sown well in this, our first year. Many people who found out about us through our Facebook page came to visit us. and had the opportunity to touch our bikes firsthand, as well as test them. We also met new potential dealers who will allow us to expand our presence in Italy.

We'll end with a fun fact about Gusto that many people may not know, and which is linked to Tadej Pogacar...

Before entering the professional world, Pogacar spent two years with what is now Team Ljubljana Gusto Santic, a Slovenian continental team. In 2018, Pogacar won the Tour de l'Avenir on a Gusto bike, a victory that opened the door to the WorldTour. For us it is a great calling card to be able to say that a champion like pogacar he rode on our bikesThe fact that a professional team like Team Ljubljana Gusto Santic rides with our bikes is a testament to the quality of our products. Each of our bikes is UCI certified, a guarantee of absolute quality.
