MISANO ADRIATICO – Bioracer is one of the cycling industry's historic companies, one of the very first to combine fabric technology with aerodynamic research applied to technical garments, and to invest significant resources in the evolution of the garments themselves. The Belgian company is now officially arriving in Italy; we want to understand why only now.
We interviewed Marco Pancari, operations manager of the Italian branch of the company founded in 1986 in Tessenderlo, Belgium, in the heart of today's Bike Valley (where Ridley and its wind tunnel are also based). Bioracer has always confirmed its strength in various areas of Europe, but its presence in Italy has been spotty. Yet the know-how it brings to the table is significant. Collaborations with national teams and athletes (Ganna for example, involved in the body development (which led him to the Hour Record, at the time Bioracer was a partner of Team Ineos-Grenadiers) who achieved success in every corner of the globe. A wide selection of custom technical clothing borrowed directly from the lines developed for the professionals. Let's go into the details of the interview.

Bioracer has finally officially arrived in Italy. Why only now?
Bioracer has always had a strong presence in Europe, but we wanted to wait the right time to enter the Italian market with a solid structure and a clear strategyItaly is a key country for cycling, and we're now ready to offer a direct, personalized experience that meets the expectations of cyclists and Italian dealers alike.

Will the Italian branch be independent, or will it depend on Belgium?
The Italian branch will operate with a high degree of autonomy, while maintaining a strong strategic link with the headquarters in Belgium. This allows us to adapt to the specificities of the Italian market, while maintaining consistency, quality and innovation that distinguish the Bioracer brand.
Have you set goals and mapped out a growth path?
Absolutely yes. Our goal is to become the reference point for technical cycling clothing in Italy, for both teams and enthusiasts. We have a growth plan that includes developing our sales network, opening local showrooms throughout Italy, and strengthening partnerships with local athletes and teams.

What does Bioracer represent for the category of technical cycling apparel? Customization included?

Custom service is one of our strengths. We offer tailor-made solutions that combine technology and visual identity, ideal for teams and brands that want to stand out.

Technology and clothing, aerodynamics. Can Bioracer be and remain a benchmark?
Yes, and we prove it every day by investing in research and development. We collaborate with engineers, biomechanics, and athletes to create performance-enhancing garments. Our PROTOLab in Belgium is among the most advanced in EuropeWe will continue to innovate to maintain our leadership in the industry. We have direct access to the Areo Performance Lab, the innovative wind tunnel located in Bike Valley.

The company has always been linked to several national teams, and has recently entered the WorldTour alongside Ineos. What is the current situation and what will the future strategy be?
Collaborations with teams evolve based on shared strategies and objectives. Bioracer is currently the supplier of the French team Total Energies Pro Cycling. The partnership with Ineos Grenadiers was an important chapter that strengthened our visibility globally. Together with Belgian Cycling, we have brought these experiences into new collaborations with other professional and national teams such as German Cycling, which align perfectly with our future vision.
