On the eve of the Tour de France, Trek has presented a new initiative destined to attract the interest of the many fans of the American brand. These are eight new custom paint schemes Project One ICON that we can admire these days on the roads of France. The Trek Madone that the former world champion is racing with Mads pedersen of Lidl Trek in fact it has a very particular livery, which certainly will not have escaped attentive eyes.

Unique models

Thanks to the Project One ICON paint system, it is now possible to make your Trek truly “unique”. Anyone who buys an Emonda SLR or Madone SLR model has the possibility to choose from an infinite variety of colors different from the standard ones. The end result is a bike with a unique livery, destined to be noticed and admired by all. 

Each pattern is handcrafted using custom paint processes to create a design that cannot be replicated in any way. No two Treks will ever be the same.

Eight new patterns

Pedersen’s Trek Madone was done in the “Chroma Ultra-Iridescent” paint scheme. It is born from years of testing, but also from the artistic skills of the most established masters of Project OneTo create such a unique livery requires uncommon levels of skill and know-how. 

The other paint schemes presented on the eve of the Tour de France were as follows: “Chroma Diamond Flake”, millions and millions of microscopic fragments of chromium create a pattern with an extraordinary effectThe result is a livery that shines differently depending on the light it catches.

“Real Smoke”, a hand-crafted, nuanced paint scheme that uses fire as the main ingredient. 

“Crystalline Blue Prismatic” and “Viper Frost,” two one-of-a-kind paint schemes, organically created by fusing thousands of tiny crystals together into lattices that sparkle in any light. 

“Team Tie Dye”, a unique paint scheme used on professional team bikes.

Among the TOP companies

The eve of the Tour de France brought Trek not only eight new custom paint schemes, but also a significant accolade. The American company has in fact been included in the Fortune Magazine list which includes the 100 Best Companies to Work For. The recognition is based on the "Great Place to Work" data survey model, which collects feedback from 100 million employees worldwide.
