The first edition of the event is taking place these days Italian Cycling Week – On the Roads of SardiniaThis is a new stage race that began on Wednesday, July 14th, in Alghero and will conclude on Sunday, July 18th, in Cagliari. This exciting new development will allow all enthusiasts to discover unspoiled and little-known corners of Sardinia.
The race will have a prestigious technical partner: Salice. For over 100 years (founded in 1919), the Lombardy-based company has worked daily to offer athletes cutting-edge products for every type of outdoor sport, from skiing to motocross, sailing, canoeing, and of course, cycling.

Sponsorship born a long time ago
To get us to tell you more about this particular sponsorship, we asked Matthew Soro di Nature Great EventsHe organizes the demonstration, together with his colleague Carmelo Mereu, making use of the technical support of the GS Emilia by Adriano Amici.
I've known the Salice brand since I was a child, thanks in part to the friendship that has always tied my family to Salice. I'm also a huge ski enthusiast, and for me, Salice goggles have always been the best the market has to offer in terms of quality. From the moment we started working on organizing the race – continues Matteo Soro – I thought about contacting Anna Salice to ask her if she wanted to be a partner in our event. From the very beginning, I found her to be fully available to support our event, which I'm sure will be a great vehicle for promoting tourism for the whole of Sardinia. Several Italian athletes are in the running who will be finalizing their preparations for the Tokyo Olympics. For the first edition we couldn't have hoped for more."
Salice will be the protagonist of the Italian Cycling Week – On the Roads of Sardinia awarding on the finish stage the winner of each individual stage with a helmet and glasses.

Still with Androni
The Salice brand will also be present every day in the race thanks to the team Androni Giocattoli which fielded a very aggressive team at the start of the race, led by Simon Pellaud (in the opening photo). The Swiss, at the last Giro d'Italia, he won the special classification for the greatest number of kilometers in the breakaway. And in this event too he went on the attack wearing the green jersey for best climber.
Collaboration with training directed by the team manager Gianni Savio, started in 2017, has allowed Salice over the years to see its helmets and glasses worn by champions capable of writing important pages in the history of cycling. Just think of Egan Bernal already winner of a Tour de France and Tour of ItalyThis fruitful collaboration with the team Androni Giocattoli will continue next year as well.
