SAN GIOVANNI IN MARIGNANO – The 2023 edition of the “Serata di Grande Ciclismo” was archived a few days ago, The event, conceived and organized by Fisioradi Medical Center and Cà Virginia Country House & Wellness, which punctually in November, for the last three seasons, celebrates the best of national cycling as well as youth cycling from the Marche region.
Present at the gala evening, which took place at the splendid Tenuta del Monsignore di San Giovanni in Marignano (Rimini), the reigning Italian professional champion Simone Velasco, the Romagnolo and “next” UAE Emirates Filippo Baroncini, the former tricolour Filippo Zana and Giovanni Carboni. With them also the Italian Rachele Barbieri, the latter a very welcome presence indeed, who told how great his passion for cycling is and how eagerly awaited the next 2024 road racing season is.
In addition to the professionals—all awarded with prizes designed and 3D printed by Friulian company Morfeo Gadget—the spotlight was also on the best young 2023 riders in the Marche cycling movement. Specifically, the over two hundred participants in the evening were able to applaud Luca Nicoloso, regional student champion, Sebastiano Fanelli, regional junior champion, Leonardo Grimaldi, regional 1st year novice champion and Edoardo Fiorini, regional 2nd year novice champion. The special “Memorial Marco Ragnetti” award was instead delivered directly by the parents of the unforgettable Marco to Lino Secchi, historic president of the Marche Regional Committee of the Italian Cycling Federation.
The music of Gregorio & Moser
And to make the "Evening of Great Cycling" even more engaging, conducting the orchestra—it's really appropriate to say so…—were two true experts from the world of two wheels: the cycling voices of Eurosport, Luca Gregorio and Moreno Moser. Anecdotes and curiosities told directly from the stage, but also lots of music played and sung by Gregorio and Moser themselves…also thanks to a fun video link with Riccardo Magrini, who ideally reunited the same close-knit television trio for a few minutes.
As per the program, the "Evening of Great Cycling" did not end with the gala dinner, but had a pleasant appendix the morning of the following day. with the development of a cycling excursion along the roads between Fano and Fossombrone in the company of all the professionals who participated in the event. A wonderful opportunity to ride alongside them along the roads that the next Giro d'Italia 2024 will tackle during a spectacular stage finishing in Fano.

We're already thinking about 2024
"This year's evening," commented Maurizio Radi, who conceived and is organizing this important event together with Giacomo Rossi, "truly exceeded our wildest expectations. We are very satisfied with what we offered: of the new location, and how the passion for cycling was evident and united all two hundred participants! A clear confirmation of how the bicycle is also synonymous with sharing and friendship."
"Everything went very well," replied Giacomo Rossi, "and our attention now turns to the next edition in 2024 to make this event even more important and recognized. We have several ideas in mind, one of these could be to expand the audience to include personalities and athletes from other cycling disciplines.But we have time to reflect on it and above all to create an edition, the next one, that is even richer and more enjoyable."
