Shimano confirms its commitment to the world of professional cycling by renewing its partnership agreement with RCS Sport & Events for another four years. The Japanese brand will thus continue to guarantee Neutral Technical Assistance Service in the most prestigious Italian competitions, including the Giro d'Italia (men and women), the Milan-Sanremo, the Lombardia, the Tirreno-Adriatico and the Strade Bianche.
Not just big events
The collaboration, active since 2018, will involve a wide calendar of RCS-branded races, including theUAE Tour, the Milan-Turin, the Giro d'Abruzzo, the Giro Next Gen, the Giro-E, and the Gran Piemonte. Assistance will be managed by Shimano Italia, the national division based in Milan, which represents the operational heart of the service.
The presence of the iconic blue Shimano cars and motorcycles, perfectly equipped to deal with any mechanical unforeseen event, will be essential to ensure the smooth continuation of the competitions even in the event of breakdowns or technical problems. The Shimano team is made up of expert mechanics located both along the route, in fixed positions, and on the move, following the group, ready to intervene at every stage of the race.
This widespread and highly professional presence allows all athletes – regardless of their team – to receive immediate assistance, in full compliance with the principles of safety, equal treatment, and the spectacular nature of the competitions.
