The Stardue Group GmbH company will be officially operational from September 1st. This is the new direct German subsidiary established by the Italian business group of the same name which owns and markets bike brands Low, Lee Cougan, Pogliaghi and Microtech. This new and important operational reality – officially presented in mid-July at the Expo euro Bike of Frankfurt – will be based in Nuremberg, and will have Roland Steinmetz as its general manager which has been distributing the Stardue brands on the German market for thirty years.
Stardue Group GmbH will be able to take advantage of an extremely widespread network of commercial partners spread throughout the country. A network that today counts over 150 points of sale and which will now have even more support and strength to be able to spread, in a rapidly expanding market, in particular the Basso and Lee Cougan products (the latter an American brand specialized in the off-road sector and acquired by Stardue at the end of the 90s).

A very strong bond
"Certain bonds survive time, becoming stronger and deeper," said Alcide Basso, founder of Stardue, "just like my relationship with Germany. From this country, since the beginning of my career, I have always been fascinated by the engineering aspectHere they really have, as they say in my area, the mechanics in their heads… And right here, with the passing of time, our customers have fallen in love with that Italian who thinks like them, who is reliable and a perfectionist, who has never hesitated to get in his car and personally reach his German customers to solve their problems. Certainly It was Germany that particularly made the Basso brand take off and we today, also with this important step, we want to express gratitude towards a great nation and an incredible market, without which Basso would not be what he is today...".

We would like to remind you that in 2017 Stardue moved its offices to the new and functional headquarters located on the outskirts of Bassano del Grappa (Vicenza). A location which also houses an exhibition of historic Basso bicycles, comfortable "showrooms" to best present all the products and - last but not least - the Factory Store: a special sales point designed as a real meeting place for local cyclists, but not only, who love pedal along the hills between Asolo and Bassano or tackle the legendary uphill ramps of Monte Grappa.
