Swiss brand SWI, specializing in carbon frame construction, recently announced the addition of two new ambassadors to its team. Following two-time world champion Paolo Bettini, The company has decided to entrust its image to two athletes who do not come from the world of cycling.. This is Marco Mapelli and Raffaele marciello, championship drivers GT World SeriesMarciello recently won the prestigious 24 Hours of Spa.

Beyond cycling
With this operation, the Swiss brand strengthens its intention to embrace an ever-wider audience, beyond that strictly tied to the world of cycling. In SWI they consider the bicycle as a transversal means of transport, which can be used by athletes of all sports disciplines in their daily training.
Marco Mapelli and Raffaele Marciello regularly use their bicycles to improve their fitness for the car races they will be competing in. Marciello travels around 6.000 kilometres a year while Mapelli even reaches 15.000.Numbers of an advanced long-distance rider.
Mapelli himself tells us about his cycling training: «When I go out on my bike I follow high intensity tables which help me stay in shape. Just like for cyclists, weight is very important for us riders too."

Here is the Thrama
In their cycling training, the two riders can count on SWI's top of the range equipment. This is the model Thrama, the first frame signed by the Swiss companyBoth riders' assessment of the new bike is truly positive, as Mapelli himself is the first to confirm: «As soon as I tried Thrama I immediately felt at ease, as if it had been tailor-made for me. In SWI they managed to find a compromise between rigidity and comfort that I had never experienced before. From today, even following the tables will be less tiring and more fun."
Marciello, on the other hand, was impressed by the Thrama's weight: "I was immediately struck by how light the bike is. After Luca Paolini brought it to me, I weighed it, and in the disc configuration, size L, it weighs only 6,9 kg—incredible. A detail that really makes itself felt on climbs. And then the comfort, the way it smooths out the bumps of the asphalt. Compared to the other bikes I've tried, it's certainly the most comfortable."

Also an artist
Paolo Bettini, Marco Mapelli, and Raffaele Marciello will be joined in their role as ambassadors by Paolo Kessisoglu, a much-loved face with the public and a passionate cyclist for many years.
For Kessisoglu, cycling is a true passion that helps him relax and stay fit: "Cycling is a fundamental moment for me," he says, "both for the body and the mind. I started cycling seriously about ten years ago., due to a motorcycle accident. The doctor who was treating me suggested I try cycling, and it was love at first sight. I immediately understood one thing: I liked the climb much more than the plain.».
Paolo Kessisoglu has been riding a Thrama for some time now. Here's his assessment: "I was used to bikes that, the more powerful they were, the more 'hard', uncomfortable, and difficult they were to ride. Instead, what amazed me about Thrama is the fact that it manages to keep these two characteristics together. For me, performance and comfort are fundamental. I would define it as a "sincere" bike: a vehicle that feels immediately reliable, that from the first pedal stroke you know won't let you down, especially in the most delicate moments like downhill and on corners.
