«I found the riding experience incredibly easy – declared Melandri – it's like riding on a tyre without an insert, very light. Inside my head I always have the certainty that I can save the circle and not having to worry too much about rocks and particular obstacles."

To find out how the collaboration with Marco Melandri came about, we decided to speak to Alessandro Coianiz of Tannus Italia over the phone.

How did you meet Melandri?

We had our first contact last year in Misano during the Italian Bike Festival. Alessandro Cavalleri, who holds the position of commercial director at Tannus Italia, introduced him to us.That first informal meeting was followed by further contacts facilitated by Carlo De Santis, a photographer and social media manager with whom we've been collaborating for years and who knows the industry well. From there, the collaboration with Melandri was formalized.

What do you expect from this collaboration?

First of all, I would like to underline that we are really proud to have him officially in the “Tannus team”. In addition to the purely commercial side, we are big fans of his and passionate about the world of two wheels in general. We are ready to support him throughout the season with our inserts and help him achieve important results.

By the way, what are the upcoming events for the Tannus brand?

Tannus will be attending Eurobike again this year. This year's show is very important for our brand, as we will officially present our new tubeless insert, which will represent a major innovation in the industry. Something never seen before! We will also have new sealants specifically for road and mountain bikes..

It will also be an opportunity to give the right prominence to the Tannus logo, which recently underwent a small restyling.

When will we see Tannus in Italy instead?

We will definitely see each other in Italian Bike Festival in September. An appointment that has become unmissable for us where we can meet the public and present our products in person.

We also look forward to welcoming all the fans to Val di Sole for the World Championships in July to cheer on our riders with us.
