It was on the eve of the 2023 Tour de France when Trek presented Project One, an innovative paint system that offered end customers the possibility of choosing from an infinite variety of colors different from the standard ones. Thanks to this new system it became possible to create a bike with a unique liveryThe 2023 project has continued and has recently been enriched with a new chapter. In recent days Trek has in fact announced that have expanded their collection of paints Project One Signature with three new EnvironOxideTM colors: Moondust, Desert Mauve and Mojave Red.

Attention to the environment
The three new colors are born from the collaboration between Trek's Project One team and Iron Oxide Recovery, Inc.
We are talking about a company specialized in the extraction and recovery of excess iron from contaminated waterways.Recovered iron is used to create a wide range of products, including paint pigments.
This process not only helps clean waterways, but also reinforces the need to mine raw iron oxide minerals, traditionally used to create paint pigments. The use of low environmental impact paints may seem like a minor issue at first glance. In reality, this is not the case at all and is further confirmation of Trek's global efforts in sustainability. Indeed, they represent a bigger change in the way the Waterloo company works daily to move towards an ever more promising future planet.

New color opportunities
With these three new additions, Trek customers can now choose from four EnvironOxide colors to build their custom Project One. This is Raw Lithos (available only on the gravel platform Checkmate SLR), launched in 2024 and inspired by the earth and desert terrain. The brand new Moondust evokes off-white lunar landscapes, while Desert Mauve plays with geological shades of gray and purple. Finally, Mojave Red, which embraces desert shades of red, orange and brown..
The new colorways are now available on all high-end Trek road bike models. Anyone wishing to customize their Trek bike today simply needs to visit an official Trek dealer or use the Project One configurator by visiting the dedicated page: https://trek.bike/ProjectOne.
