Many cycling enthusiasts are certainly not familiar with Club Italia because it is closely linked to the world of motor racing. Through Gios Turin We had the opportunity to discover what this exclusive and very particular club represents. The Club Italia It is formally a sports-cultural association founded in 1987 by a group of motoring enthusiasts. Their goal was, and still is, to promote the image of the Italian automobile in all its aspects: sporting, technical, cultural, and social. The members of the club believe that the automobile is the maximum expression of Italian creativity and genius and as such should be exalted., preserved and its values passed down.

To understand what links Club Italia to a prestigious bike brand like Gios Torino, we decided to ask Gios Torino to tell us something more. Marco Gios, who together with his father Aldo brilliantly leads the family business.

Let's start with a perhaps obvious question: What connects two-wheeled pedal vehicles to four-wheeled motor vehicles?

A premise is necessary. Club Italia does not limit itself to carrying out projects aimed at promoting the image of the Italian automobile in all its aspectsEvery year it promotes exclusive initiatives reserved for its members, and this is where we at Gios Torino come in.

Can you explain it better?

A member of Club Italia, a big fan of De Vlaeminck, is a client of ours, or rather it would be more correct to say that he is a member of the great “Gios family”. On the occasion of the 2021 edition of L'Eroica Stefano Macaluso, president of Club Italia, introduced us. Chatting with him, the idea was born to create something special for the Club members: a custom-made Gios Torino, Gti model, in a limited edition and with dedicated graphics.

How many models were made in total?

Exactly 12, each with its own serial number. On the occasion of the Club Italia Christmas dinner at the Casa Enzo Ferrari Museum In Modena, a real draw was held to assign each member a serial number from 1 to 12. All the bicycles will soon be delivered to the members during a special ceremony that should take place at the Motovelodromo in Turin.

Can you tell us something about this “special” bike?

The Gti Club Italia was founded with the aim of combining the innovation of modern bicycles with the tradition of custom frame building. This has always been a characteristic of Gios Torino that we hold very dear.

Precisely for this reason the chosen frame is the Gti, which with its Columbus Spirit tubing houses a 1″-1/8 carbon fork. The frame, however, unlike the classic one, is brazed with joints to join the combination of tubes and fork with the oldest brazing technique. The joint also offers the ideal support for personalized "Club Italia" engravings. The completely new and exclusive finish underlines the Italian quality of the product.
