The bond between Ursus and the Team Picnic PostNL It is relatively recent, but has already proven extremely profitable. The collaboration, born at the start of the season, represents the first World Tour alliance for the Veneto-based company, and has given rise to a virtuous exchange of know-how, performance, and technological development. The most evident symbol of this synergy is represented by the new PROXIMA Team Edition, the official wheels used by the Dutch team and already protagonists of prestigious results.
During the visit, led by Ursus CEO Mirko Ferronato, the riders Romain Bardet, Casper Van Uden – winner of the fourth stage of the Giro d'Italia Lecce – and Max Poole, along with the rest of the team and the technical staff, had the opportunity to immerse themselves in the production heart of the company. An ongoing technical dialogue
"It was an unexpected and very welcome moment," commented Mirko Ferronato. "We're usually the ones who go to the team training camps during the races. This time, however, it was them who asked to know the origin of their work tools first hand.A gesture that demonstrates interest and respect for our work, but also a sign of how solid our collaboration has already become. The curiosity and attention with which they followed every stage of production truly impressed us."
The direct comparison between athletes, engineers, and technicians highlighted the importance of continuous dialogue between those who run and those who build the materials. It was not just a formal visit, but a moment of mutual growth. The PROXIMA Team Edition, in fact, is the result of a long process of field testing, with scientific data and sensations shared between Ursus engineers and the riders of Team Picnic PostNL.

Innovation, dedication, trust
"Collaborating with a World Tour team gives us the opportunity to constantly improve our products," added Ferronato, "proving to be a unique testing ground, allowing us to refine our technical solutions to the highest standards. And the fact that a team of this level chooses to come and visit us on a day off from the Corsa Rosa, confirms that we are on the right path."
