Vision took advantage of the excellent media attention provided by the Tour de France to present two beautiful new products, namely the wheels Metron 45 and 60 SL led to victory in particular by Vout Van Aert in the magnificent Ventoux stage. But he's not the only one. And the new decals haven't escaped the fans' attention.

Given the close collaborative relationship between Vision itself and the team Bahrain-Victorius, the two national champions competing in the Grande Boucle, Sonny Colbrelli and Slovenian Matej Mohoric, also winner of two exciting stages, had the privilege of using the new wheels Vision Metron. A version called National Champion and specially customized for them. How? With the Italian flag of their respective nations, applied by the team mechanics during the first rest day of the Tour.

Aerodynamics objective

Actually, both new wheels Vision Metron 45 and 60 SL had already “secretly” won the national titles of Italy and Slovenia with Colbrelli and Mohoric on the weekend of the third week of June, but the Vision launch had not yet taken place.

The underlying concept of this new Vision project focuses on aerodynamics. The brand's goal was to create wheels with the best aerodynamic performance in the world. Both sets are compatible with disc brakes, in both clincher/tubeless and tubular versions. The Metron 45 SL Disc, with a rim width of 45 millimeters, is designed primarily for tackling hilly and mixed terrain. The Metron 60 SL Disc (with a rim width of 60 millimeters) is specifically designed for speed on the flats.

And the spokes? 100% Made in Italy

The internal channel of the CH/TLR version is 21 millimeters and has an external shape optimized for a 28mm tire. This creates a sort of "compact and unique structure" between the rim and tire, improving aerodynamics. The rim is handcrafted with particular attention to aesthetics thanks to a special carbon lamination.

The hubs feature the new Vision PRS technology, with a 72-degree engagement system that provides greater smoothness and a better gear engagement angle. The spokes used are top of the range Aero bladed double butted stainless steel and produced strictly in Italy by a famous company that supplies components for the automotive industry.
