Last September 23rd, in the industrial district of Bangpoo in Thailand, a the inauguration ceremony of the land on which Vittoria Group will build a new production siteThe inauguration took place in the presence of the senior management of Lion Tyres Thailand (LTT), the current production site of Vittoria Group, representatives of the Thai and Italian industries, and the Italian Ambassador to Bangkok, Lorenzo Galanti. The new facility will be operational by the end of 2022 and will be able to accommodate 400 new employees. The facility will be dedicated to the production of premium tires and thanks to this new important investment Vittoria Group will double its production capacity.

Sustainability at the centre

In the design of the new plant maximum attention was dedicated to the theme of sustainabilityThe new facility will be equipped with solar panels, smart climate control, organic and recycled materials, and energy-efficient electrical grids. The end result will be the world's first zero-emission bicycle tire factory.The 16.000-square-meter building will house testing and product research equipment, fostering the ongoing development of essential technologies for creating ever-higher-performance bicycle tires.

An ever stronger bond

The construction of the new production facility will help strengthen the long-standing ties between Vittoria Group and Thailand. Since opening its first factory in Bangkok in 1988, the Italian company's production capacity has steadily grown. Currently, production capacity is spread across five factories in Bangkok and Rayong, including the world-renowned graphene compound research and production center. and the only extruder capable of combining four compounds in a single tread (4C). A total of 1.300 people are employed with an annual tyre production exceeding 7 million.
