"In June, I rode a great Giro di Campania," he tells us, "and I competed in my first professional race of the season, the Giro dell'Appennino. Last year, I closed out my calendar with the Coppa Agostoni, already getting a taste of the world of the big boys. I'm now in a bit of a break before putting the number back on in August., when I will race in the international under-23 races. There are several: Capodarco, Poggiana, Giro del Veneto, Giro del Friuli: I want to be ready."
No stage races in the first part of the year, why?
It's a choice made since the winter with the team, il Giro Next Gen and the Giro della Valle d'Aosta are challenging races that I would like to include in my calendar in the future, but it is right to take certain steps gradually.

True, it's something that makes me very happy. It's up to me to always try to get the best out of every race.I'm happy to have won a stage at the Giro della Campania and it was a great response to the work done. The team has a plan to help me grow and this gives me a lot of confidence.Then we'll see, the future will give us the answers.
What are the aspects you still need to discover?
The long climbs, not having yet done stage races like the Giro Next Gen or the Aosta Valley. I'd like to do these races to see if I'm a Classics or Grand Tour rider.
Were you sorry not to do these races?
With MBH Bank-Ballan I have always had the opportunity to have good races. Last year I raced in Belgium first at the Young ridersster and then at the Liège U23This year, in France, I took part in the Tour de Bretagne. This experience, in particular, was very useful; in fact, upon my return, I took two victories.
What did these international experiences, Belgium and France, leave you with?
It's a whole different way of running, where the pace is higher. Do you really understand what they mean when they tell you that it is important to always stay in the top positions?On those roads the race can change at any moment, you have to always be careful.
Do you dream of becoming a Classics or long climb rider?
First of all, I want to discover myself. I'm not dreaming right now. I do dream of becoming a professional, that's for sure. At the moment I feel strong in challenging finishes and very tight sprints, with four or five opponents. Then we'll see how I develop over the years.
