Among the novelties of the Australian team there is certainly the arrival of Fabio Baronti, who will serve as coach alongside Pinotti and other colleagues. “I’ve settled in,” Fabio Baronti tells us on a Thursday “break” – “we arrived five days ago, on December 8th. We had a meeting to get to know each other and set up the workThen the kids arrived on December 10th. Next Monday, the 16th, we'll be going home to return to Spain in January. Among us staff members, we decided to have an introductory meeting in Bergamo a few weeks ago.. All the coaches were there, including the two new ones, me and another guy."
Another life
Fabio Baronti's life is about to begin in a completely different way, and many things will certainly change from a sporting perspective. Joining the staff of a WorldTour team at a young age is no coincidence; in some areas, the rewards are even doubled. I already know some of them because I met them as opponents with the CTF among the under 23sWe followed them closely during these first outings. It's important for us coaches to see them pedal and gather information."
What's the feeling of joining the WorldTour?
Great, it's part of the personal and professional growth path. At CTF I found a real family, which I entered and had the opportunity to appreciate the people and the atmosphere. Here at Jayco-AlUla everything is more professional and everyone has their roleWe live life in a more precise and analytical way. The staff group is huge; between the men's and women's teams, there are 156 of us.
Colleagues, what are they like?
The hard core is always the same, in which the somewhat general reference figure is Pinotti. I arrived in an environment where everyone is ready, prepared but also open to discussionI immediately felt that I could give something.
What?
I'm not here to adapt to a working method, but to put my own spin on it. I will be working with both the men's and women's teams., managing the training camp for the Giro d'Italia together with Pinotti. Being alongside someone like him is a great motivation, I think it's also a great show of trustLater, he and I will do some aerodynamic tests.
How did you get to them?
I spoke with Pinotti in May, during the Giro d'Italia. We stayed in touch throughout the seasonHe told me that the team was planning to change and renew its performance department. The fact that I came from a youth team, in my opinion, played a key role.

How will you work?
I will have a small group of three or four athletes that I will work directly with. A more direct relationship?
Having experienced riders definitely allows me to get deeper feedback and understand how to move. In short, work is optimizedI won't be in the team car anymore, maybe in the future I'll get my UCI license. Although I believe that once you reach a certain level it is better to divide the tasks.
