Two new itineraries

There's no end to the places to discover; in fact, they're waiting to be discovered like precious gems. So Piedmont opens its doors to two new destinations where we can lose ourselves and contemplate its beauty.

Two new itineraries are born: Valle Mongia, Valle Cevetta and the one of the Belbo SpringsThese itineraries are accessible almost year-round and in autumn they take on ever-changing hues thanks to the magical foliage.

Between chestnut groves and Napoleon

The Mongia Valley, which takes its name from the river that crosses it, is a path ready to help you discover history, without forgetting the beauties of natureWe start from the town of Lesegno, specifically from the square in front of the castle of the Marquises of Carretto. The same castle later became the headquarters of Napoleon Bonaparte during the first Italian campaign. The slow rotation of the pedals will then lead you to admire some splendid chapels, such as that of San Nazario.

Cycling will be made less tiring thanks to the beauty of the surrounding natureAs you proceed, you'll admire oaks, pines, and birches. You might even discover the mushrooms these lands can offer: the famous porcini mushrooms or red and gray champignons. There's no shortage of rest areas where you can enjoy local produce in the peace and quiet that surrounds you.

Cevetta and Belbo

The Cevetta Valley has a unique ecosystem, the result of its proximity to Liguria, and consequently to the sea. Rich in medieval villages and raw materials that make it a place where nature and history go hand in handIn this case, the tour starts from the village of Priero, surrounded by countryside and dominated by a gray stone tower in its center. The route continues along the "Pedaggera" road, which at its end joins the Cevetta and Bormida Valleys. This is where the “Belbo Springs Nature Reserve” originates, a territory ready to amaze you, where cycling becomes even less tiring thanks to the natural beauty that surrounds it.

Food is a must here too. The town of Montezemolo, for example, is one of Italy's honey cities. In addition to the sweet nectar, here you can taste many local delicacies such as truffles and fine cheeses.. The famous seafood cured meats are worth discovering: products derived from the processing of tuna, bottarga, and anchovies. The meeting between land and sea is typical of this area of Piedmont, in fact, climbing the “Cima Coppi” you can admire the splendid peaks of the Ligurian and Maritime Alps.
