So Roberto, tell us something more about the Brenta Territories…
Here in Bassano del Grappa We consider ourselves true experts in welcoming sports touristsHere, any outdoor sport, from climbing to paragliding, from rafting to mountain running, finds a sort of natural gym in the area. And among these different and varied outdoor activities, cycling is certainly at the top of the pyramid.: in terms of number, quality, and expertise of its guests. Every cycling activity, from mountain biking to racing, from downhill to gravel to freeriding, finds its natural ecosystem in the Brenta Territories.
For cycle tourists who prefer road cycling, what does this area have to offer?
Actually, I'd rather answer by listing what you might not find here... Let me explain. For example, starting directly by bike from our hotel – the Bike Hotel Alla Corte – in a few minutes you can reach the starting point of the climb to Monte Grappa, a true icon for all cycling enthusiasts. I'm talking about the climb that starts from Romano d'Ezzelino, the most famous, because Grappa has many faces... and all of them are tough! Behind us, however, it is possible to cycle along the very gentle hills of the Venetian Pedemontana, which slope down towards Marostica and then Breganze. Among these you can test yourself on the Rosina climb, the brief rise that in recent years has been the scene of several transitions of the Tour of Italy as well as the 2020 edition of the Italian professional championship won in Cittadella by James NiceloJust a few kilometers from our hotel, the road begins, also uphill, to reach Asiago and its plateau. So we have the plain, the steep climbs, the wonderful hills, and, if you like, even the plateau: it doesn't get much better than this.
And then, once you get off the bike, what happens?
It happens that you are welcomed by a territory rich in history, great traditions, and an excellent food and wine culture.
