From Gargano to Salento, passing through the Tavoliere, the Costa Imperiale, the Murgia, the Itria Valley, and many other gems to discover. We begin in Daunia, a magical place encompassing plains, mountains, and so much more.
From the sea to the mountains
Daunia is that geographical area that includes the Tavoliere delle Puglie, the Gargano and the Daunia Sub-Apennines Located in the northeastern part of the region, bordering Molise and Campania. Here, nature reigns supreme and thrives in harmony with humanity. The coast welcomes you with spectacular inlets and caves, golden beaches and crystal clear sea, then entering the woods and forests of the Gargano National Park, with a thousand-year-old heart, and the Umbra Forest (the green heart of the Gargano National Park which includes the Faggeta Vetusta, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2017) to explore by bike.
Moving away from the Apulian sea, we encounter the Daunia Sub-Apennines, which alternate hilly areas with forests consisting primarily of beech and oak trees. The area is rich in small streams and natural lakes, including Lake Pescara. The Dauni Mountains are a unique feature to visit and appreciate on horsebackHere you can find the Bosco Faeto, which extends for approximately 6.500 hectares and has Monte Cornacchia, the highest peak in all of Puglia, at 1.100 meters.
