All in two days
How do we know? Simple, since Lorenzo Finn, after the efforts of the world championship It took him only three days to find his first success wearing the world champion's kit made by SportfulOn Sunday 29 September at the Olgiate Molgora-Ghisallo, which he also won in 2023, Finn raised his arms to the sky once again. This time with a rainbow on his chestWe went to Sportful to understand how a company creates the rainbow jersey to give to its riders.
«The process with which we created Finn's uniform – explains Federico Mele, Head of Global Marketing – is no different from the one used for the professionals. As a company we have the production capacity to make a uniform like this in just a few hoursWe have a room called special products, specifically designed for these needs. The news of Lorenzo Finn's victory arrived on Thursday, and the next day the jersey and shorts were ready. A colleague of mine delivered them to his house on Saturday and on Sunday he won».

The UCI rules
When it comes to a world champion's uniform, the UCI's guidelines must be adhered to. The horizontal band composed of the colors of the rainbow blue, red, black, yellow and green, must be placed in the center of the shirtSponsor logos, however, must be placed at a distance of between 10 and 30 millimeters. Each color of the rainbow stripes must be represented equally. Rainbow bands must also be present on the collar and the edges of the sleeves.
«Naturally – explains Federico Mele – The most important thing is the stripes that distinguish the world championSponsors must then be positioned on the shirt according to space and commercial agreements. Clearly, a name that previously appeared at the top of the front must remain in a similar area. However, the contracts made with the sponsors are what matter.».
«To Finn – says Mele again – We have only created a basic kit consisting of a shirt and shortsThe latter were colored black for a chromatic issue, given that the original color of the Grenke Auto Eder It doesn't particularly match the rainbow jersey. It's nice to have a complete kit, though. On shorts the rainbow should be placed on the lower edge with a maximum height of five centimetres, one centimetre per colour."

Immediately a winner
Lorenzo Finn took advantage of his good form in Zurich to add his second Olgiate Molgora-Ghisallo to his list of victories. The first success in the rainbow jersey and the last, as far as the junior category is concerned.
«I had decided to finish 2024 with Zurich – he says – but after the victory I decided to wear the rainbow jersey at least onceWhen you're feeling good, everything goes well, and on the Ghisallo, things went really well too. Receiving the jersey the day before the race in Como was great. I thank Sportful for the effort and the gestureSeeing it live with the team logo on it had a certain effect on me. I realized a little more what I did in Zurich, I'm not saying that winning on the Ghisallo was better but it certainly gave me a great thrillThere were so many friends and people I knew, and getting up on stage at the awards ceremony was special."
"Now all that's left to do is get back to everyday life," he concludes. "Unfortunately, since the Ghisallo race, the weather has been consistently bad. I hope to find the right climate to wear it in training too." after all I won and I want to enjoy this shirt until December 31st».
