Essentially unique
The soul of all SWI frames is in fact composed exclusively of UD carbon fibers, that is, unidirectional. This material consists of a continuous piece with filaments oriented along a single direction, arranged in very thin overlapping layers and at different angles, to obtain a reactive and rigid structure. The outer layer of 3K carbon arranged in a herringbone pattern instead gives the Thrama a unique and unmistakable aesthetic.
The Swiss company also has the UFSTM TECHNOLOGYThis patented technology allows us to build the frame from a single mold, making real SWI frames monocoqueThanks to these features it was possible designers to control stiffness and elasticity at the load or collapse points and at the same time reduce the weight to a minimum.in fact the needle on the scale oscillates between 650 and 760 grams depending on the size, always keeping the total around the 6.8 kg required by the UCI.

Bettini approves
