COLFOSCO – In the magnificent scenery of the Alta Badia Dolomites is presented thirteenth generation of one of the most iconic bikes ever. The Pinarello Dogma F.
Over 100 grams lighter (for the same size), more aerodynamic and still extremely rigid, certainly identifiable with its design. The new Pinarello it is the first bike to use carbon Torayca M40Xa even higher module than the T1100Let's go into detail also thanks to Fausto Pinarello e Scott Drawer (performance manager of the Team Ineos-Grenadiers).

Fausto Pinarello's creature
"This is the Dogma number 13. It has changed a lot – he tells us auspicious Pinarello – but in every era it has always been a point of reference. The first Dogma was the magnesium one, 22 years of evolution and development have passed, including in terms of materials. The new Dogma began to take shape two years ago. The contribution and support of Team Ineos-Grenadiers, with his contribution, analytical skills and obviously thanks to his athletes, have been fundamental in the process of creating the new bike. For these reasons too, we have signed with them for another four years.».

Every detail makes the difference
«I love listening to riders all year round – he says Pinarello – I like to bring the athletes' feedback to my staff, because every word is a cue to make the bike evolveEvery rider has their own needs, their own way of racing and experiencing cycling. The new Dogma perfectly represents the Pinarello philosophy, a concentration of technology, performance and beauty.
«We combined the numbers – he continues Pinarello – even the smallest ones. Designers, engineers, and partners have worked hard to achieve this result, where I put my signature and where the design must be identifiable with Pinarello DNA».

Marginal gains for large differences
«The pursuit of performance has changed a lot in recent years and it's not just about marginal gains – Drawer tells us – or rather, every detail is an integral part of a great evolutionary process. Our approach has not changed over the years, has evolved and confirmation of the quality of the work also comes from the fact that all the teams have invested a lot in following our line of thinking.
«When we started researching and analyzing, the margins for improvement were high and immediate, because there was no history in this sense. Now the improvements are constant, it is still possible to improve everything related to performance – concludes Drawer – but the process is slower. The new Dogma F is part of a system we call performance planning. How do we run? How do we train? What technical support do we use? We can say that Pinarello bikes have evolved with us».

The first draft in 2022
The analyses and studies that allowed the creation of the Dogma F start from the 2022 Tour de France. Everything he did was taken into consideration. Geraint ThomasWhat happens in every single moment of a Grand Tour? There is not only the climb, or the descent, or the flat stretches travelled at crazy speeds.
A race isn't just about sprints and accelerations, or perfect asphalt, because there's also cobblestones and gravel. Numbers and data, analysis upon analysis, everything had to match to give a total bike. Lighter than 108 grams, developed with the new CFD models and with a aerodynamic efficiency coefficient better than 0,2% (very, very much).

The new Pinarello Dogma F
Carbon Torayca M40X, which appears for the first time in the bike sector, has an even greater modulus than the T1100 thanks to the 377 threads per square inch (compared to 324). The use of the new carbon fabric and the evolution of the shapes of each profile have forced us to significantly vary the aesthetic impact (and volumes) of some parts of the bike. The bottom bracket box for example, larger, more rounded in the lower section, but still true to the 65mm width and threaded caps for the bottom bracket. Its shape derives from (Aero-Keel) from that used for the Ganna track bikeThe entire rear triangle and fork have wider tire clearances (up to 30 millimeters wide).
La oblique pipe has been redesigned and suffered a slimming cureThe truncated internal surface area has been reduced, saving weight without sacrificing rigidity and aerodynamic efficiency.
Il The head tube has been reduced by 8 millimeters overall (in terms of volume), again without losing substance and rigidity. The headset has been changed and is compatible with electronic groupsets only.
The through pin attachment points have been capped and made blindThe seatpost block has been lightened and is more functional. Last but not least, the Onda fork, also in this case completely redesigned. It has a 47mm rake, common to all sizes. It has a stem with two lateral protuberances (reinforced and optimized for internal cable routing, eliminating obstructions, eliminating friction and increasing steering precision, all with reduced weight).

Dogma F and the art of asymmetry
Each section of the new Pinarello Dogma F is asymmetrical, just like from tradition Dogma. The Pinarello Dogma F It is available in four configurations regarding the transmission (Sram Red AXS, Shimano Dura Ace with and without power meter, Campagnolo Wireless and list prices starting from 14.500 euros). There are 3 types of wheels, including Princeton, DT Swiss and Campagnolo. The frame kit is also available. The availability of the sizes (11 in total), from 43 to 62.
For those who love numbers: the Red AXS setup has a declared weight of 6,63 kilograms (size 53), while the Dura-Ace setup weighs 6,77 kilograms (both with Princeton 4550). The Campagnolo Wireless setup (with Bora WTO 45) is declared at 6,88 kilograms.

Talon Fast Handlebar
Now adopt the Fast suffixIt follows the current trend that wants full carbon handlebars and integrated with the flare of the handlebar, all at UCI standard. The the flaring of the curves is 7°, but it is also the (slightly wavy) design of the fold that allows for a big difference in terms of comfort and precision in the low grip. Each size has a 8° angle handlebar stem and an125mm curve width.
