Origins in MTB

Santa Cruz it is a reference for many bikers (and not only). It is thanks to the technical solutions adopted on the bikes, for the geometry and for the efficiency of the bikes, but it is also for that eclectic tip that is part of the company's DNAA set of factors that significantly influence the development of bikes regardless of the segment, which we also find in the gravel sector.

Stigmata 4 is the bicycle that also becomes a point of union between gravel, mountain bike and road bikeIt is versatile, because in addition to the suspension fork, the compatibility with the telescopic seat-post (27,2 mm in diameter), allows for the use of drivetrains with or without a double front plate. Furthermore, it offers ample space for mounting luggage, in case of bikepacking. It is, in fact, a transversal bike that gives a nod to even the most competitive group in the gravel segment.

How it is made

Santa Cruz stigmata has a full carbon frame (as well as the fork) which offers the transition to tires up to 50 mm in section (with the 45 ones there is plenty of space to facilitate the discharge of debris and mud). The oblique tube, at the anchoring point of the bottle cage, provides a compartment called Glovebox, or a space where you can insert some objects. The volume of all the profiles is not exaggerated, for a bike that offers a balanced yet modern aesthetic. The insertion of the rear downtubes is low, as is the chain stay at the junction with the bottom bracket shell. The bottom bracket shell has threaded seats.

It was deliberately chosen not to integrate cables and sheaths in the steering tube (IS nature), this is to allow for quick and easy maintenance.

The Santa Cruz Stigmata 4 adopts the UDH matrix shifter support (universal derailleur hanger), a truly appreciable solution in terms of rigidity of the compartment, protection and standards. There are three bottle cages, two in the traditional positions, one under the oblique profile.

Elongated horizontal

Santa Cruz stigmata It adopts a modern geometry. It has a longer top tube, which allows for better use of short stems, improving stability and handling even on rough terrain. The steering and steering angles are the same for all available sizes, at 69,5° and 74°, respectively, resulting in a front end that opens significantly forward and an almost "perpendicular" steering column. Five sizes are available, from S to XXL. It's sloping, but it is not excessively compressed, squashing exaggeratedly towards the rear.
