BH updates its category of bikes completely dedicated to gravel, With the GravelX R which winks at competitions, while GravelX It is more oriented towards gravel adventure.
The first one is in carbon, the X has an aluminium frame, same family, but such different soulsLet's take a closer look at the new models.
BH GravelX R
It is the bike with which BH entered the racing world., a racing tool where all development is maximized and aimed at performance. The XR frame adopts the monocoque technology, uses a blend of carbon fibers with the HCIM process. This allows for eliminate any imperfections in the pipes, fiber curls, and resin buildup. Perfect tubing is achieved, resulting in weight savings, a cleaner appearance, and even increased performance.
Compared to previous generation GravelX R, for the new version a redesigned carbon layup. It takes the name of Evo Carbon Layup. It is a one of the most advanced carbon laminates, with a higher stiffness/weight ratio than the previous one. The key points that characterised the first XR version remain unchanged, or a certain aerodynamic propensity of the bike, the fork (all carbon) with Air Bow design, the BB386 Evo bottom bracket shell. This bike does not adopt the rear heatsink between the cart and the steward.
Integration at the highest levels
From fully integrated passage of the sheaths, thanks to the ICR solution (full predisposition for the use of integrated cockpits), up to the threaded seats of the through pins for the front and rear axle, which make the two compartments even more elegant and practical (for example for cleaning). Moving on from the seat post locking block, without forgetting the compartment (Toolbox) present in the lower part of the obliqueThere are the two aero concept bottle cages and the Planck rear light with magnetic attachment. This BH allows the passage of tyres up to 45 mm in section.
There are 4 available setups, with very interesting prices. BH GravelX R 3.5 and 4.5, both with Vision TC30i wheels, with Shimano GRX 12 and Sram Apex 12 packages respectively, 3299 and 3699 euros. The level goes up with the 5.5 (Shimano GRX) and 6.5, the latter with Vision SC45 wheels and the GRX Di2 package. Priced at 3499 and 4999 euros respectively.
BH GravelX, the aluminum one
Triple-butted aluminum frame and carbon forkGeometric dimensions optimised for comfort and to avoid imposing sacrifices on the driver, ideal for bikepacking and long journeys. Extended overall wheelbase means comfort, stability and safety, for a bike that is never excessive in different situations, from asphalt to off-road. There is a comparison with the more racing GravelX R, thanks to the Air Bow fork and tube shapes that do not completely forget aerodynamic research, even ifPure performance is not the main goal of GravelX Aluminum.
An eye for integration, thanks to the internal passage of the sheaths, without forgetting the abundant space for the passage of tires (up to 45 millimeters in section). A price range that makes the GravelX accessible, for a bicycle within everyone's budget.
5 sizes, 4 different setups
From XS to XL, modern sizes and geometries that adopt an optimal reach and a stack that does not require sacrifices. Four different montages, 1.8 and 1.5, 2.0 and 1.0, with list prices (respectively) of 2499 and 1999 euros, 1699 and 1399 eurosThe 1.8 and 1.5 are based entirely on the new GravelX platform, while the 2.0 and 1.0 are a sort of entry-level bike (with a traditional design) to the BH catalogue.
And then…..The GravelX AT with the SRS system
It is the BH GravelX ATIt is designed and developed for light gravel riding, it is not at all averse to competition and thanks to the SRS heat sink (which is actually inserted at the junction between the downtubes and the seat tube) it is designed to satisfy a range of very different requirements. The frame and fork are made of carbon, there is a hidden compartment under the downtube bottle cage and there is the fork with AirBow design, a characteristic and distinctive feature. GravelX Evo AT is available in four sizes and 5 set-ups with prices ranging from 2799,90 (2.0 assembly) to 4999,90 euros (6.0 version).
