The BH SL1 frame is made of carbon Toray T400 Performance Carbon Layup, the same material used on some of the brand's higher-end models, but with a layering designed to ensure a perfect balance between lightness, rigidity and resistance over time. Hollow Core Internal Molding (HCIM) technology, developed internally by BH, it allows for a more compact and imperfection-free carbon, thanks to a high-pressure internal hollowing process that optimizes the thickness only where necessary.
The result is a responsive yet comfortable frame, with a low weight (1.050 grams for the M size frame) and high steering precision. Compact Stay rear triangle, designed in one piece, contributes to better power transmission, while lateral stiffness is increased by the use of the bottom bracket BB386EVO and from the diagonal tube with a larger cross-section.
Despite its endurance vocation, The SL1 inherits the racing DNA typical of BH: The power delivery and pedaling efficiency are closely reminiscent of racing models. The Endurance geometry, however, softens the angles and offers a more relaxed position, ideal for long days in the saddle, without sacrificing handling and responsiveness when changing pace.
