ASOLA (MN) – We are in the brand new Titici hub and the news is linked to the gravel race category, or in any case to a category of users who love technically demanding and fast gravel. The second generation of the Relli Pro Evo, a bike that presents itself as a a benchmark for performance, construction technique, design and attention to detail, in typical Titici style.
Relli Pro Evo is a bike entirely made in Italy thanks to Tube-to-Tube banding technology and only the pipes are monocoque. Compared to the previous version, it has been profoundly updated in terms of aesthetic impact, to progress with the project, to make some solutions functional, such as the use of tyres up to 50 mm in sectionLet's look at it in detail.

Relli Pro Evo 2, how it's made
«Relli Pro Evo has changed», he says Isaiah Alghisi, a historical figure of Titici, a person involved in the development of the Mantua-based maison's products, from road to gravel, passing through mountain biking (Alghisi is a passionate cyclist and a very strong pedaler).
«We tried to make the new Relli platform more modern – continues Alghisi – for us it was it is essential to maintain the hinges that make Titici bicycles unique. Made in Italy, the bike is designed, built and painted, assembled entirely in Italy, within a radius of just a few kilometers. We have maintained the PAT technology, that is, the horizontal identifier flattened in the rear section and in the specific is a PAT 7. IS' different from that used in the road field, the road one has an increased thickness to obtain UCI approval specifically for road use.
«The PAT technology – concludes Alghisi – coincides with the AAT designed column pipe. Translated, a seat-tube drawn in an arch in the central/lower section, where it finds a further flattening. The aim is twofold; a greater functional elasticity to traction and to the damping, leave a wide wheel clearance even with very wide tires, limiting the contrast with mud, dirt, rock".

Total customization
«As the wishes DNA Titici – continues Alghisi – the Relli Pro Evo is fully customizable On the customer's side. We strive to be 101% helpful in making choices, in terms of geometry and size, paint finishes and setups, offering maximum support. also to not distort our vocation. There are still 5 sizes at the base. We have added the UDH dropout and it's It is possible to mount a single chainring, a double chainring and a chain guide if necessary, all with a solution designed by us that offers an optimal aesthetic impact thanks to the limitation of plastic inserts.
«The area of seatpost has a diameter of 27,2mm and it's dropper-post compatible. The front end – continues Alghisi – also thanks to the customization of the pipes, allows the fitting a gravel-specific suspension forkWe can also intervene on the standard of the bottom bracket – concludes Alghisi – We basically foresee the bb386-Evo, if the customer prefers a T47, or a threaded BSA, we can do it without any problem».

Other details to consider
Full carbon fork with marked asymmetry between the two sheathsThe one on the disc side is “almost” oversized, rounded and structured, the one on the non-drive side is more tapered. The seats dedicated to the headset are compatible with FSA, OCR Deda and with the Enve headset. The two steering seats, upper and lower, are completely made of carbon, the aluminum parts have been eliminated.
Mechanical transmissions can also be mounted. Last but not least, for lovers of reduced weight even in the gravel field, the frame is declared at 990 grams (110 less than the previous version). A reduced value if we consider the technical peculiarities of rigidity and related to the processing with tube wrapping.

First impressions
We remain of the opinion that just over two hours spent on a bike, outside the environmental context in which we are accustomed to developing a real test, is the time needed to gain confidence and contextualize the mechanical means. Our approach takes on even greater strength when a bike like the Relli Pro Evo appears to be racing, driven towards racing and very fast on dirt roads.
The two things that struck us most right away? Super supportive front end and precise fork like few others, it almost looks like a (good) road bike disguised as a gravel bike with big tires (we had 45 Pirellis). The weight of the body is nicely centered in the middle of the frame, a detail that is anything but banal and obvious.
