New team, new life also for Martina Fidanza, who has moved to Ceratizit WNT Pro Cycling and already on the podium in the second race of the season, the Drachten stage of the EasyToys Bloeizone Fryslan Tour in Holland, behind Rachele Barbieri.
“I’m getting along really well with the team,” said the Bergamo native, opening the national team’s training camp in Calpe (Instagram photo). The organization is truly top notch, almost at the level of a WorldTour. And it's all very relaxed, in the sense that they leave everyone free to follow their own schedule. For me, that's especially important for the track, which is very important to me. They always support me, at least for now (smiles, ed.) they have always fulfilled all my requests.I'm happy with the environment, let's see the next races since I've only done one."

The year of growth
For the first time since the beginning of his career, Martina no longer races under the guidance of her father Giovanni, just as it was in 2020 his sister Arianna to leave the Eurotarget for the Lotto Soudal and then the Team Bike Exchange.
At Ceratizit WNT he found the same technician Dirk Baldinger, who as a professional raced with his father Giovanni at Team Polti and who as an amateur had won the 1994 Giro delle Regioni.
"Sara the year of growth – he told us – athletically, because Making a good calendar will help me change my characteristics and fill in the gaps I'm missing. Humanly, because approaching a foreign team and working in a totally different environment will help me a lot."
Good first time
The change of team, as already seen yesterday with Zardini, involves a whole series of adaptations and among these there is the transition to the new saddleIf last year his De Rosa was equipped with a Selle SMP, this year Certazit WNT's Orbea is equipped with a Prologo.
«I had already used Prologo with the national team – explains Martina on this Women's cycling's Day – and I immediately felt comfortable. I had used it for a few days and adapted to it immediately without any problems.I don't think there's a saddle made specifically for girls, but that's a subjective thing like everything. Saddles and shoes should be subjective and a personal choiceI chose one right away and didn't try more than that, because I immediately had a great feeling. It is very comfortable and allows you to be more relaxed during the raceI tried other saddles, which were less comfortable and consequently made you push even less."

Prologue Dimension Tri
The model Martina chose at first taste is not just any saddle. This is in fact the Dimension Tri, with small dimensions (245x143 millimetres) and a weight of 181 grams. A model that has comfort at heart thanks to the V SHAPE design and the new PAS channel, modified in width and depth, to ensure better blood flow and eliminate soreness and excessive pressure. Furthermore, having a wider nose, its shape better adapts to the female conformation.
The seat area has been moved forward by 2 centimeters, the nose is 7 millimeters wider, while variable density foams increase stability and comfort.
