Geometry and comfort
The leitmotif used by Orbea for the launch of the Earth is Gravel From The Ground Up. In fact, it is a project started from scratch in terms of materials, geometry and components to propose a model that meets the objectives of fun and performance.
It was reduced length of the sheaths up to 420 mm to optimize agility and responsiveness. Bottom bracket height has been reduced to 78mm for greater stability and control on fast, uneven terrain. To increase handling, the new Earth has a longer reach combined with shorter handlebar stems and an optimized steering angle, so as to have a specific position for each size.
As for comfort, we've worked meticulously to fine-tune the frame's stiffness and adapt it to any terrain you'll face. Lockr is the name that the Spanish company has given to the storage space designed for the new modelThrough an opening in the frame, you can store a spare inner tube, the pump, a CO2 canister2 or the multi-tool.
In addition to space for two bottle cages in all sizes, the frame features multiple mounting points to accommodate all your needs: under the down tube for accessories and on the thru-axles for any type of fender, allowing for up to 35 mm of wheel clearance. Wiring is another feature where nothing has been left to chance.
The result is a clean and quiet aesthetic which complements perfectly with the frame or handlebar panniers for lightweight bikepacking adventures. The new models will be available from late fall.
