Salice's 2025 season got off to a great start thanks to the feats of its athletes. Among these are those of the boys from the continental Petrolike training who achieved several notable results in the races in Spain in January and February. The athletes from the team managed by Marco Bellini they can therefore count on the technical support of Salice products, a historic reality that over the years has established itself in professional cycling and beyond.
The kit supplied to the Mexican team includes glasses 023 and the helmet TopsailTwo iconic Salice products, designed and developed to offer maximum support in terms of both comfort and technique. We had the opportunity to meet the guys from Petrolike at the Laigueglia Trophy, the first race on the Italian calendar. The continental team will also be at the start of the under 23 international competitions, in which one of the athletes to watch will be Kevin Navas, an Ecuadorian born in 2005 who became the national U23 time trial champion.

The glasses
Salice supplied the guys at Petrolike with one of its top models: the 023. A model that has among its main features a very low weight, only 31 gramsThis is thanks to the frame that only outlines the upper part of the lens. Salice technicians also paid great attention to the aesthetic aspect, with the temples creating a continuous effect.
A very important part when talking about glasses is the choice of lenses, especially when you come into contact with professional athletes, who use the products in all weather conditions. The 023 model features a large polycarbonate lens, treated with the HC – High Contrast – system which improves contrast and amplifies the sense of depth. Furthermore, Salice has treated the lens with an anti-reflective and hydrophobic treatment..
"With these glasses," Lorenzo Peschi told us on the sidelines of the Laigueglia Trophy, "I'm very happy with them, both in terms of comfort and lightness. Furthermore, Salice provides us with two different lens models: a blue one that's suitable for sunny days with very strong light. Orange lenses are also available. The latter are designed for adverse weather conditions, when the light is weak and you need a lens that captures the brightness to improve visibility."

Helmet
The kit supplied by Salice is completed with the Gavia helmet, an iconic model of the brand that has accompanied many athletes to numerous successes. It is a lightweight and at the same time very ventilated helmet, this is thanks to the fifteen holes on the shell which guarantee continuous air exchange inside. The Gavia model is made with in-moulding technology and is equipped with an "anti-slip" system and the micrometric rear adjustment rotor houses a safety light. Salice has inserted two guides on the cap that are used to attach glasses, these are equipped with a magnet which makes the operation easierA solution much appreciated by athletes when every second counts in a race.

"Even with the helmet," Lorenzo Peschi continues, "I'm very happy with its lightness. The Gavia model, which we use in races with a lot of elevation gain, It allows us to always have the right temperature inside the shellHaving a safety light positioned on the rear rotor is a useful choice especially for training, it makes us more visible on the road and that's no small thing."
