The partnership between Bollé and the B&B Hotels p/b KTM continues and does so by combining style with safetySince the beginning of the season, the “Men in Glaz” have been wearing helmets and glasses from the historic French brand and are proud of the collaboration and development they are carrying forward.
In particular, the Breton team was chosen to protect the Furo Mips helmet, a concentration of advanced technologies and intelligent design. To help us discover this helmet we relied on Luca Mozzato, just returned from second place won in the team's home race, the Tro-Bro Léon.

A helmet for all purposes
Furo Mips is Bollé's high-performance road cycling helmet.Inspiration and technologies draw from the automotive industry, from design, aerodynamics, ventilation and airflow testingInnovation and comfort are two features on which French designers have invested resources to improve its performance.
«I have always used the Furo – says Mozzato – for convenience and safety. I like the fit and how it adapts to different running conditions. At the beginning of the season, especially during the classics, temperatures and weather conditions favor a closed helmet. In the summer, ventilation is essential. With this helmet you can do both without having to change model for each race».

Take away and put on
Cold, heat, wind, and rain. Cyclists are often forced to adapt quickly to the weather. The Bollé Furo Mips helmet, thanks to its shell and ducts, provides unique and efficient versatility.
«I really like the idea of inserting and removing the caps. Depending on the condition and the type of race – continues Mozzato – you can play around a bit. These are the marginal gains of cycling. When you have a really fast stage, you can gamble the closed helmet, for an even more aerodynamic lineWhile when you have a mountain stage, where you have to file down everything possible and you need better ventilation, you can remove the caps and make the most of the helmet's ventilation features».

Ventilation and air conditioning
An aerospace technology. The Naca duct improves aerodynamics by making the most of physics. Thanks to its design the air flow enters inside the helmet and facilitates its extraction in the rear part improving air penetration.
La ventilated cap facilitates the entry of air while maintaining an aero line, without however giving up protection in case of bad weather. clean cut at the rear instead, offers a smaller trail which reduces friction and improves the Cx coefficient.

Combined safety
La safety is certainly the most crucial aspect to define the quality of a helmet. The Furo represents the flagship model for the French company. To confirm this, it features the roll cageRenowned for its use in racing cars, this system is a frame designed and integrated into the vehicle's passenger compartment to protect against injury in the event of a rollover. Adapted and miniaturized it has been implemented into the helmet.
«When I wear it – explains Mozzato – I feel safe and comfortable. The Click-To-Fit closure system allows me to micro-adjust the fit quickly and easily. Even in the most hectic phases I can tighten or loosen the helmet without impediments."
“A homogeneous system works better than two separate parts”From this consideration comes the decision of the designers to combine the Mips Low Friction Layer with the helmet's fit system. The result is a seamless, lighter look inside the helmet that offers excellent fit and long-lasting comfort.

Coordinated with glasses
The ease of use of a helmet is also determined by the details that encourage intelligent use. One of these is the Opti-Dock system that allows you to safely store your glasses when not in use. Bollé is in fact a historic eyewear manufacturer and for this reason too it has left nothing to chance.
«The glasses fit together perfectly – concludes Mozzato – and form a pair that works really well. In our case, in fact, when you insert them you are sure not to lose them. It is really convenient when going uphill. Especially in the last race I used the C-Shifter which have an elegant and original line. I normally use Icarus, which are an incredibly lightweight model."
Helmet Furo Mips is available in six colors and three different sizes S (52-55cm), M (55-59cm) and L (59-62cm). The price available on the website is 200 euros.
