Piton presents the new Evo RF bike, the flagship of the Racing Frame line, a model that aims to combine high-level performance and comfort. She presents it to us Sara Pitozzi, owner of the Piton company together with his brother Simone.

«The RF (Racing Frame, ed.) line has been part of the collection for a very long time – he explains – Evo stands for “evolution” we wanted to bring a new concept to the world of Road bike. Because the Evo RF is a 100 percent road bike, thanks to its traditional geometry».

New requests

Cyclists now ask for road bikes, true, but with greater versatility for the perfect balance of technique and comfort. The kingdom of those who pedal is no longer just asphalt, but every terrain, without any more limits.

«The peculiarity of this frame lies in the fork and the rear triangle – continues Sara Pitozzi – which have wider spacing to fit tires up to 45mmIt's a versatile bike, designed for the road as an endurance model but also suitable for use on dirt roads. Just change the tires and you're done: The Evo RF remains a snappy, responsive and high-performance bike in every situation.

«The market is moving towards these new types of bikes, with many cyclists who previously rode Gran Fondos now dabbling in gravel. We wanted to provide a vehicle that can be used anywhere, without ever losing quality.».

Technical details

The versatility of Piton's new Evo RF comes not only from the choice of having a larger fork and rear triangle, but also from other details.

«The seatpost – concludes Sara Pitozzi – has two solutions: the first is with zero setback for those who want a more aggressive positionThe second solution is a 25mm setback for a more comfortable riding position. Another detail not to be overlooked is the choice of handlebars It's integrated and aerodynamic, with internal cable routing. The difference from other handlebars is the width at the top and bottom, which differs by two centimeters. For example: if you choose the model with a distance between the levers of 40 centimetres in the lower part the distance will be 42. This allows for a more comfortable grip when gripping the handlebars at the bottom."

The groupset is the SRAM Red Axs 12 speed with Mavic Cosmic Carbon SLR wheels.
