Among the many innovations presented at the recent IBF in Misano there was also the Machvolt Pro G5 tire by CST Tires. This is a clincher 28mm tubeless ready designed for road racing, responsive and light, with a puncture protection.
120 TPI casing and protection
Il Machvolt Pro G5 it's a racing tire, light and high-performance, not surprisingly presented in a single size of 28 mm. But what good is lightness and performance without puncture protection? To overcome this potential inconvenience, the Defender Cobweb, a layer of light but very resistant fibres which promises to allow you to pedal without worrying about a flat tire.
The carcass has a construction 120 TPI (Threads Per Inch, threads per inch), among those of higher quality available on the market. The very thick and thin texture makes the tire light and flexible, therefore capable of adapt better to the irregularities of the terrain.
Tubeless ready, racing compound and design
Like almost all new concept tires, the Machvolt Pro G5 are tubeless readyThis technology, now consolidated also on the road, allows you to inflate the tires to a lower pressure, which guarantees greater comfort and grip without sacrificing performance. The possibility of using them without an inner tube It also reduces the risk, often frequent, of pinches.
As we said from the beginning, this is a product designed for competition. This soul is also confirmed by the design of the almost completely smooth tread, with only light grooves to improve wet grip.
Also the mix follows the speed perspective, with the Dual Compound which is the maximum of the company's findings regarding the racing sector.

The Machvolt Pro G5 tires are, as already mentioned, presented in the only size by 28 mm and in folding version, for a weight of 310 grams.
The color is the classic black and they are available in authorized stores at the recommended retail price is 45 €.
