The German company Schwalbe presents the new G-One R tires, designed to meet the needs of gravel enthusiasts. A discipline in which tires play a fundamental role for many reasons. Among the main features we find a high smoothness due to the double layer of carcass placed under the tread and specifically designed to overcome the most difficult sections. like gravel or stones, without wasting unnecessary energy. The most important quality, however, is undoubtedly reliability.
Smooth and safe
In fact, the main objective of the G-One R tyre is to avoid punctures, which are very frequent off-road, as far as possible. This is all thanks to the Souplesse design which is made from a material used for bulletproof vests and which also takes on the qualities of the Pro One road tyres. That is, two layers under the tread, as mentioned above, which facilitate the wheel's movement and three lateral carcass layers which protect against cuts. Furthermore, an additional puncture protection, the V-Guard, has been added to the tread, which protects the central part of the tire from potential impacts.
Effective adhesion
Another strong point of the G-one R is grip, which improves handling on climbs, where low speeds can cause the wheel to slip and consequently lose balance. This is possible thanks to the boomerang profile of the outer blocks, which ensure high grip, even when cornering.
