2025 opened with great news for Titici, as last February 8th a new partnership with the team was announced Arvedi Cycling. The Mantua-based company will provide elite and under-23 athletes with bicycles for the season just begun. The boys will race on the Titici Alfa model, a bike designed to maximize aerodynamic efficiency and therefore perfect for those constantly seeking speed.

The Alfa is born from a monocoque frame, characterised by the PAT10 horizontal tube, the thinnest in the world, UCI approved and featuring innovative DAC technology (Double Air Channels). This solution features a double air channel on the seat tube, achieved thanks to the advanced seat stay fastening system and AFT (Aero Flap Technology).

The project was born from the already existing Titici Alfa, which underwent some modifications to enter the world of competitions in order to be even more performing.

«Our engineer – says Marco Compagnoni, general manager of Titici – was given the brief to build an extremely aerodynamic frame. We made our mold with the intent of finding a way to shave off a few grams, which is not easy when trying to maximize aerodynamics. The first technical steps were made through computer models and drawings, We then printed a model and went to the wind tunnel at Silverstone».

In terms of design, what are the areas where you worked the most?

I would say that the Alfa model has two particularities. The first is that we managed to keep the top tube with the original shape, so very flat.It wasn't a given because the UCI has very strict regulations and staying within them is complicated. We had to raise the top tube by a couple of millimeters compared to the original design but we succeeded in our intent which was to keep the PAT technology unchanged: Plate Absorber Technology.

The other peculiarity?

We find it in the rear carriage which connects to the top tube via two tubes. A flap has also been inserted in the seat tube area which allows the rear triangle to be further attached.A choice made to increase frame rigidity. This way, even the team's sprinters can put all their power into the pedals.

Is this rear flap solution also something you studied in the wind tunnel?

Absolutely, it is clear that the position in which it was inserted and the angle are calculated to have an aerodynamic response. The special thing that we would like to underline is that the entire frame is made from a single piece of carbon.A process that requires a lot of time but at the same time has several advantages, such as great rigidity and the fact that it responds excellently to stress.

The design is really unique, even on the front.

We also put a lot of effort into shaping the head tube, which follows the airflow perfectly. The frame has been shaped in a way that is almost imperceptible to the naked eye but the technical feedback is high

A great deal of work has also been done on the components.

We relied on Prologo and Vision to offer our athletes the best products that we believed could maximize aerodynamics. For example, the kids will ride with Metron SL 45 wheels and Metron 5D Evo handlebars.

The sizes?

They are the five classics: XS, S, M, L and XL.
