Exactly one year ago, we introduced the first collection designed by Santini and inspired by the Pirelli Sport Club. Given the huge success it enjoyed among cycling fans, This collaboration has continued and now the second capsule collection is born.Santini x Sport Club Pirelli"The inspiration always comes from the history of the club founded by the Milanese company in 1922 to promote the well-being of its employees through physical activity.
Nowadays, physical activity represents a way to stay fit and have fun, but in the meantime it has evolved to also affect fashion and many other areas of daily lifeThrough sport, each of us can unleash our personality and express it through unique colors and garments. For companies, sport becomes a way to convey messages and unite many different spheres such as tradition, aesthetic research, and performance. Pirelli is taking advantage of this second capsule collection to also celebrate the first tire produced: the Tipo Milano, it was a bicycle pneumatic tire patented in 1893.

The 60s
Inspiration comes from the 60s, a pivotal period for graphic design and advertising innovation. The capsule collection designed by Santini takes up the graphic lines of the Pirelli advertising archive of the time. An incredible and carefully preserved heritage at the Pirelli Foundation in Milan.
There are two designs: Wheel and Tape. The first one takes inspiration from the movement of a wheel, playing with colors and lines in order to give the same dynamic effect with a touch of innovation. While the second design, the Tape, was born from vintage advertising posters, characterised by coloured horizontal bands capable of recalling energy and speed, in full sporting spirit.
